  1. If police want to catch people speeding they should wear polite jackets.. you race past thinking its a nob. and then BOOM. gotcha.
  2. We have a winner.
  3. Note to self.. Don't buy a GS
  4. I suppose i should be thankful it moves
  5. Want to go fast without spending £100k? Get a bike I out do all sports cars around the town on my £1900 bucket of bolts (when they don't fall off)
  6. I use an oxford one and have it facing down so any water runs off not into it. I only use it for my satnav when riding. I actually installed mine by slaving it onto my horn
  7. You could move it to run only when the ignition is on? Mine is set up like that as i'm forgetful and my battery is shit enough
  8. If they wear quickly i'll try some HH next then !
  9. I've heard they're much better, but less effective when wet/cold?
  10. Ebc gg pads
  11. Changed the fluid a short while ago. Nice and sharp though stopping distance is much shorter haha. Chain is next up
  12. Ok done! Had afternoon off so decided to get on with it.. 2 problems occured, Couldn't get the piston to go back, eventually got it back with 2 bits of wood and a vice. second i lost one of the spring pins. so using a split pin temporarily. Otherwise it works fine
  13. Not seen a set of those before.. But my dad has a lot of random tools so i'll have a dig about! Got my copper grease ready. Guess i'll find out once im in there how grubby it is. My guess. VERY
  14. Good call, i remember reading about that, Somewhere wrote to take the top off the resevoir and put a towel around it incase it spills? But worried i would miss it and it would soak onto the paint for a couple hours
  15. Cheers guys, gonna take them off as i wanna clean the disc up good and everything inside as it rusted on a little the other day and i couldn't move the bike. Will post how it goes. Got a ham sarnie, my set of tools, and my mp3 so i'm good to go
  16. Time to change my front brake pads i think, Got a new set the other day (EBC) now going to attempt changing them saturday. Not done it before but i have read up on it and think i have it understood. I have a good range of tools, and a can of brake cleaner i was going to use on the discs ? Or shall i just use some water and cloth? -remove bolts on caliper and take off the disc, use bungee cord to hold the caliper while working on the disc -remove the pins -pull brake lever to push pistons out and remove the brake pad -clean the brake disc and the piston -put a little copper grease on back of new pad -place pad in and pin -replace caliper I've heard bandit pins can seize and be a nightmare to remove.. but i'll cross that bridge if i come to it If i'm missing anything please let me know, as well as any tips, first brake pad change..
  17. *jessie pinkman voice* YEAH BITCH! MATHS!
  18. :( Aww lovely, you know I'm only being silly! Have you really got it for sale? Bless ya, what are you hoping to get instead? Hope the bike gets fixed/you get something sorted real soon Hah i know It's working reasonably well at the moment, but it's still up for sale, Will probably keep the cash for a while till i've moved out then get soemthing like a new FZ-08 perhaps. But will do more research into it.
  19. Have fun keeping up with Phil :D You can get an old tom tom on ebay quite cheap, get a case that fits onto a bike handlebars for £5-£10 and you're sorted. Or get a map
  20. Aim for a 600cc bike, big enough imo without being heavy and hard to control. I would recomend something like a (newer than mine) 600 GSF bandit, or a FZ-06. But what ever is right for you. It also depends on your riding, if you commute a lot, something comfortable that provides protection from wind and raid (as much as it can anyway) is helpful, however if you plan on going out only when it's nice and sunny to tear up the twisty roads something more sporty perhaps? Definately do your DAS though and go straight for something big, Easier to control than small bikes especially when it's windy!! Also you'll have bigger tyres than a 125 tends to have which makes cornering tonnes easier!! Good luck anyhow. If you're in essex/suffolk/norfolk area i know a good school.
  21. Got mine about a week and a half. it varies.
