I did my Mod 1 in a weekend, i had minimal riding experience tbh only commuting daily which is very few slow manouvers. did 5 hours training on the saturday took the test on sunday (or was it friday saturday?) Either way it's easy to practice, just get some cones and go to an empty car park. manual handling. hold the bike up so its weight is on the center, stand up, push it back, check left and right as you leave the "Garage" push. as you go onto the path left and right check. push in side stand down. await instructions Slalom you need to look at the next cone along so you don't fixate on a close target and crash figure of eight, just crank your head way around the way you want to go, high revs and toggle the clutch. walking speed is easy just rear brake if you go to fast. U-turn is the one a lot of people fail on as they don't have the revs up enough. emergency stop, simple. just get your speed, leave it in second gear don't bother changing up. roll off throttle, squeeze front brake so you feel it touch then pull on hard enough and apply rear brake, don't grab clutch untill you're about to stop.(start engine if stalled) put in gear life savers and drive to the instructor hazard avoidance was my achilles heel, dodge the obstacle at 30+mph, basically just push hard on the right of the bar to go out and hard on the left to go in. then controlled stop in the box. REMEMBER TO DO YOUR LIFESAVERS!! Left shoulder, right shoulder, go. You will fail if you miss ONE. Good luck! have fun
