I'm going to be there, don't know how yet as bike still in bits http://www.cosgan.de/images/midi/traurig/a025.gif
we spent at least 5 hours working on her today and at least the servo motor works
just the actual exup valve to replace now...... thinking I may just get my 600 on the road so I have wheels
-
I tend to use a tank bag when carting all my stuff around.
At the moment I'm still waiting for my new tank cover to arrive (more about that in a new thread when the time is right
)
so I put my stuff in a back pack but I cargo net it to the back of me on the pillion seat.
-
I would go for black.....
I had my leathers while I was a pillion and they were blue and black with white stripes.
hated them and after 4 years they are a bit big for me.
My bike is silver (bestest colour!!!) and I have just got a pair of black and silver textiles from Aldi for commuting and when it's really wet but I'm saving my pennies for a pair of black leathers ASAP.

Always have your glove tops INSIDE your sleeves too.
Helps keep water out of your gloves!
very true
yeah but then your elbows freeze .... and what with frozen fingers and frozen elbows ...... hell I'll just stay in til summer

Ok, sorry this is a no~show from me
Other half has had bike in bits today. Now it has 4 new spark plugs and starts first go...... it will have a new oil filter when the tool for removing the existing one arrives from fleaybay ~ despite a garage full of tools.
As for the exup valve it is still steeping in gunk to try and free it up.
Other half says it has never ever seen grease all it's life
soooooooo that's me bikeless for the moment.
I'm trying to convince myself that it doesn't matter as it will be flippin freezing and there will be other times..............
Sorry.

funny how all the weather maps say poo weather despite checking all of them every ten mins
-
Thursday????????????
Weather looks pants until then.
suggestion...
Beverley ~ Seaways ~ Willie Woods via the low road ~ home via Castor Top
Would like to meet up with anyone from Linoln side?
This will be a steady ride ~ speed limits obeyed etc but no prob if some want to blast off and meet at next point ~ they can get the cuppas ready

Anyone got any stickers to bring... so we can write our names on... saves asking a million times who people are? Sure i have some somewhere
Good idea !!!

may be of some help
I would have thought that some of the big places would have a choice??
Also tried fleabay??
-
I'm gonna remember that one Rosie! A cracking idea........although how much help a 5 year old and a 2 year old would be is open to debate!
they were a bit older and helped by carrying helmet and pushing back when going up the hills .... more importantly they were company !!
did they learn any new words that day ??
erm, erm, thinks
nope ~ had said them all when the 4 bikes passed without stopping before they got there
-
.....at least I was just the other side of town and got my kids to walk over to where I was and help me push the ruddy thing home

I have to say that it depends on the situation...
If I'm by myself and it's a rural area I would have to give serious thought about it.
But
when I'm with other half we have done on many occasions at least slowed down until we get the thumbs up or stopped if we didn't.
When I broke down on my 600 (clutch cable went
) at least 4 bikes went past and nobody stopped
at least I was just the other side of town and got my kids to walk over to where I was and help me push the ruddy thing home
