  1. Cracking GP race which is good to see !

Always a pleasure to see the doctor on the podium.

Was hoping for a smooth transition for Lowes back to Moto2 but it wasnt meant to be

hopefully a bit of time he will be back up to the front runners.

Lowe's bike dumped itself in neutral. That's the cause of his crash. Lorenzo lost his front brakes.

  2. I don't have any pics to hand (and not sure if I would be able to find pics if I wanted either), but my grandad trained as a para on greenham common airbase where my current job is. He also was in one of the Horsa gliders that captured Pegasus Bridge. His brother was a POW in the Pacific and was either around the corner from or working on the bridge that Bridge over the River Kwai is based on.

  3. Yeah it's becoming a joke, impacted tooth was diagnosed years ago but never caused an issue until about 3 years back when it suddenly decided to start growing forward.

Been told A&E won't help unless it's been caused by a trauma.

Just seems to be never ending and constantly interfering with everything.

I've got a couple of ice hockey sticks here or a cricket ball. £10 a tooth (note, I cannot guarantee I get the right tooth first time).

  4. I use the tins. They aren't as bad as they used to be.

I have some bookmarks on the pc for suppliers, I'll find them for you.

Make sure you bottle it in dark bottles, it stops the light getting to the beer and ruining it.

  5. ... how long should it take to charge?

    ...

10 hours or so. If it hasn't shown any signs of life after that get a new battery.

OK thanks, can I get a replacement that doesn't need water etc? It's a real pain to get the screw through the terminals too will any replacement be the same way to attach?

Yeah they all screw on. I normally find it's restraining straps that are more of a pig.

Most batteries you buy new for a bike require you to put liquid in them (but they normally supply it in the box) from experience. It's not rocket science fortunately.

  6. I just didn't get why they had to take a certain time in the pits, get in get out job done

As it is a mandatory stop they are forcing on them, they set a minimum time to try and stop the better teams gaining (or too much of) an advantage.

It's to try keep the gaps the same coming out the pits as going in.

  7. Having driven the nice a roads from Bristol down to Shaftesbury on Monday, I'm thinking of getting the bike down to Blandford direction in a few weekends time.

If anyone fancies meeting up for a brew or a bit of a jolly then let me know and I will keep up dated on dates.

  8. I don't get why people think schools are out to rip people off, most schools have slots booked for tests, they don't charge extra for tests, if your good enough they will happily book you in for a 2hr slot for a quick lesson and then the test and it won't cost 600

How do folks think that's going to be more expensive than trying to insure yourself, they are a business and not a ref charity.

My school pushed me to be passed my test and out there doors as quickly as possible.

Because kids these days want everything for nothing. It amazes me the attitudes of those just 10 years younger than me. Self entitled most of them and scared of work.

  9. Trail braking into a corner is best left to the race track.

Though I would always have worked on using the rear brake to close trajectory along with easing throttle.

I do trail brake and engine brake far too much, and I lock the rear up and poo myself :(

Slipper clutch is a winner for that

Having downshifted to fast once I can confirm they work. Brilliant things.
