  1. I ended up middle for social value, species and gender. Which given I do value everyone the same I'd agree with.

I maxed out saving more lives, quite high on uphold the law. I also slightly went towards younger than older, solves the aging population issue for the NHS.

Oh and I apparently hate fat people.

  2. Motorway designers don't help. Instead of proper slip roads, they often designate the left two lanes as the turning off lane, so that makes people reluctant to use them as they will have to move right to avoid leaving the motorway!

The new smart motorways are a joke too. They converted the hard shoulder to a new lane but nobody uses it!

When it's opened on the M5 and m4 near me I make great time as no bugger uses it!

  3. If a corner has signs saying that towing vehicles should use a specific lane, obey it.

Otherwise you end up waiting for roadside assistance to fit new power connectors to the cables.....

  4. I use Windows 10 and android for work and home.

I find with Mac's if they go wrong it's usually the Microsoft Office suite....

Did find a nice bug in the 365 migration tool earlier this year. I believe I resulted in a global patch for their systems because of the issues I had.

The girlfriends SD card appears to have screwed itself in her phone so I need to see if I can do anything about the corrupted files on it. I suspect those images and videos are lost though if she didn't have them backing up elsewhere. Which sucks as they are of kiddo.

  5. I wouldn't be concerned about it. I'm like a walking, talking Van de Graaff machine and I've not zapped a pc component so badly that it's stopped working yet :-)
3 sas drives for an urgent server build I think was my record. Dammit.

I find laptops are prone to static build up but if you drop the battery and power cable out and hold the power button for 30 seconds it clears the static nicely.

So not looking forward to it.

Plex is a great little app and if you use a qnap it's a native app you can install. Goes and finds all the info and trailers for it so it shows it all when you view it.

  7. I work in IT so I dabble less at home as I am so sick of it from the work day.

My next project is digitising my dvd and Blu-ray collection onto my NAS running Plex. I have about 12TB to play with so shouldn't need to compress too much.

Don't use a torque wrench at any point during the oil change.

  10. Don't wreck the end of the link pipe. Don't over tighten the clamp where the link meets the downpipe. Make sure the new one doesn't catch anything when suspension compresses. You may need a spacer between the exhaust bracket and the pillion peg to avoid fouling.
