  1. I got the led replacement today and tried it and it works but when the indicators flash, they stay lit in-between flashes dimly. Does this matter, will it fail and mot?

    i got accepted :D

WOW, and someone I know didn't get one because they have anxiety...
  3. I tried that this morning, wasn't there
  4. I reserved it as early as possible but I still haven't got a notification yet
  5. The standard idiot bulb isn't an led but I bought a replacement led one yesterday so hopefully when that comes, it will solve the issue. Cheers
  6. I tried the original relay, they flashed faster but as soon as you put the idiot bulb back in, they just stay on again.
  7. It was a cheap kit but they had sold 3,500 of them so I assumed they would be alright. I'll try using the original relay now.
  8. Just installed some LED indicators on the bike and they just stay on. I am using the flasher relay that was included with the set that I bought. I had a similar problem with my old bike and I gave up in the end. What do I have to do to get them to flash? Cheers *EDIT* Pulling the idiot bulb out lets the indicators flash but the led's stay on inbetween flashes, they're just dimmed.
  9. I saw a video on youtube about restoring colour to plastic parts that have faded due to sun exposure and thought I'd give it a go. One piece on my bike was really badly faded. I used a stanley knife blade to scrape away the faded top layer of plastic and you get to the coloured plastic underneath. It was quite easy actually. I just tried a little bit to see if it would make a difference Realised it was working so I decided to do the whole thing There was a couple of spots I couldn't get to with the blade so I had to finish it with some t-cut The t-cut got rid of a lot of marks as well and made it much better It's still not perfect but it's much better than it was.
  10. My dad did the same thing but, me and my brother each have our own pcp's and we use them occasionally, not so much any more though. It definitely taught me responsibility as I basically had mine at like 14.
  11. I agree that it's quite a nasty thing to do but the main thing is that the experience changed you. Everybody makes mistakes, some bigger than others. I do believe that people can come back from things like that but I really don't think you'll get a shotgun license. But yeah, keep your head up and move on from it...
  12. Tbh, because of the nature of the offence, I think it will be hard for you to obtain a shotgun license. Anything history of mental instability is a red flag. It is really hard to get one anyway, but if you have a criminal conviction, it's even harder. Do you live in an urban area or out in the country? I ask this because you need a clear reason for owning a shotgun, not just because you think it would be cool.

    Gear Indicator...?

It move up when in 6th but it doesn't have the extra little distance that it has when it actually changes up so as long as the sensors are spaced enough, it should be okay. EDIT* I just realised that as long as the indicator is synced right, then I wouldn't go for 7th because I can see that it shows I'm already in 6th.

    Gear Indicator...?

I had another look and realised something... This is where I thought the blue wire went into the engine But there was wire coming out the back of that cable So I followed that all the way to the neutral switch I hooked a wire around it and checked to see if it worked. It works if you go down from 2nd into neutral but it doesn't work if you go up into neutral. If you go up from 1st, you have to move the lever a touch down and back up again and then it displays the zero. I'm not sure if that's the best I'm gonna get.

    Gear Indicator...?

yeah it has up and down hall sensors. I think I saw somewhere that when you put the bike into neutral, it should overwrite whatever gear it thinks it's in and just display a zero. Once it displays zero, it resets position so it doesn't keep getting out of sync.

    Gear Indicator...?

I'm pretty sure I have the right wire, it comes from the engine and goes right up into the N dash light.
  18. I posted the other day about always going for a 7th gear and it made me decide to get a gear indicator from ebay. I've wired it up fully but you need to connect it to the neutral wire so it will display neutral as well as keeping it in sync. The problem is no matter where I connect the white wire to the neutral wire, it won't work. I'll go from neutral to first or second but when you go back to neutral, it doesn't change and just displays the gear you were previously in. I have tried connecting it at the neutral light and where it comes out of the engine but it doesn't change anything. Any help or advice? Cheers
  19. I know I'd want a hug if my bike just got wrecked
  20. Just seen this, literally just uploaded. The lady was so nice as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1aSvoIpVss
  21. If you're not happy then just say you want cash only. If he doesn't want to pay cash then just wait for the next person. I don't like the idea of selling to someone who doesn't come and look at it anyway. If they turn up and sign a bit of paper then there's nothing that can go wrong.
  22. I agree, I wonder what he would have done if he had got the key though. He was lucky that the key was in an awkward position, my bike it just sticks right out.

  24. Reminds me of my old neighbour, she was a middle-aged woman living in London with no family or friends but she drove a Porsche Cayenne to be bigger than other cars on the road.
  25. I don't live next to a school but I hate the 'soccer moms' in their bmw x5's...
