  1. I imagine it's the same as the older model which was 12k (the older model had a tacho). I think the engine is pretty similar.
  2. Just seen this on ebay, probably quite cheapy but that's fine. Don't know where I could put it though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-13000-RPM ... 4d20220d30
  3. My bike doesn't come with a tacho so what options do I have if I want to add one somehow. I know you don't really need one but it's a nice thing to have and I am constantly paranoid that I'm redlining when really I'm not even halfway there. I know I could replace the whole unit but I want to keep it as stock as possible.
  4. In the car world now, if you tried to deck out a 1.1 corsa, you would be called a ricer. A ricer is someone who's tried to make their car look like something special when really it isn't. If I had a 1.1 corsa now, there's no way I'm going to spend money doing it up. It's just pointless really, I'd wait until I can get something that's actually sort of special. It's like when you see a standard 1.2 fiesta with racing seats, what's the point when the car makes 70 something bhp. For this reason and insurance being a lot of money, I'm not planning on getting a car for a few years or more.
  5. All my gear cost about £900 in total. That's road and off road gear with 2 different helmets lol
  6. I've got some a'stars arctic drystar gloves. There not too thick but kept my hands warm a couple of months ago. I can feel all the controls easily.
  7. Interesting if you didn't know how it works. You can skip to 2:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYAw79386WI&index=2&list=LLh5CBH2tsvR8UUk7tVuetaQ
  8. I wonder how many out there want to nod but don't want to be ignored, so, two bikers thinking the same, neither want to nod first, result, noone nods, both bikers ride on thinking ignorant so & so ? That fits in with my nod test yesterday, I was wearing a black hoodie over armor, I got massively less return nods than normal. Well from now on, I'l nod first and see if I get more nods back
  9. I passed 6 bikes today and only one of them nodded. It makes me reluctant to nod in the first place because I'd probably get ignored. Although, I was wearing a hoodie and joggers so they probably thought I was a local chav
  10. There must be someone who you think it might be. Just keep a close eye on the person and see if you can catch them out. Maybe you could leave some change out on purpose near him and see if it goes missing. You want to try and work out who it is with out them knowing you know so you can catch them in the act.

  13. Im using these little bar end mirrors on the handlebars. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORCYCLE-BA ... 51bc45eee0
  14. If it's cold outside then use the choke to start the bike. It may need full or half choke to start. If you start the bike with full choke, switch it to half choke straight away. I let my bike warm up on half choke then switch it of just before I ride away. If it's really hot you may not need the choke to start the bike. You may have to adjust the chain if it is new as it will stretch slightly but after it's broken in you won't have to adjust it that often, just if it appears slack. You do want to lubricate the chain fairly often though. If you have ridden in the rain then you should clean it and lubricate it, there's lots of chain lubes out there
  15. I really like the sony as100v, it's a much better shape for a helmet, low light quality is better than a go pro and it has a stabilisation mode. And the mic is much better than a go pro. ">
  16. I was taught in CBT that you should leave the clutch out when emergency braking and try and catch it before the bike stalls. What's the most effective way then?
  17. If you get jealous just remember it's a 125
  18. I've definitely learnt a lot since then mostly thanks to this forum
  19. I just looked up the price of a lexmoto supermoto 125 and for that price you can get one of mine in pretty good condition. If you plan on buying a new Chinese, I would recommend you use the money to get a good second hand Yamaha or something instead
  20. I don't commute on it atm but plan to start soon. For now I mostly ride it for fun when I've got some time or to go to the shops and that. I think supermoto's are good for daily riding as they are so light and manoeuvrable and are great for filtering. They are also good for taller people like yourself, I'm not tall but I manage fine. At 6ft 1, you would be able to flat foot it and it would be more comfortable.
  21. You're right there mate
  22. Best thing is the hand guards, they're so solid and improve the look so much
  23. The thing is, I put a lot of effort into things that I like but f*** all effort into things that I find boring
  24. We do have an employability lady with connections and that so maybe she could help but with my course the main focus is cars not bikes.
