Its built and back together but just trouble shooting electrical. I think its regulator/rec Bike turns over slowly, no spark and no fuel i am hoping to replace reg/rec at the weekend and test coil

Turns over very slowly fully charged battery, cleaned earths checked all the loom was plugged in. I jump started it it speed up turning over but no spark from coil, i am going to try a tzr rec/reg and coil on it this weekend. The plug isn't even getting wet when jumped it. The fuel pump is priming as i switch igition Before jump starting i checked, the compression it was turning over slowly still showing 50 psi ? Id re check this once its turning over propperly.

lol, i just end up being rushed, if i had a warm work shop i would be all good in the hood but i don't. so working on the floor (partners parents place) with basic tools, with her old man that HATES MY GUTS for no reason (nothing todo with me nobbing his only daughter ) the bike i brought was from a friend who has run in it the ground. i made the stupidest mistake in my life and decided to buy it from him because i knew he had it for a long time..... did he not mention that he did nothing to the engine rarely serviced it.... so i ended up doing bits here and there. then i decided i had a week off with out work so i would do all the little bits here and there. when i am rushed i get stressed, then do things wrong..... i need a warm work shop and the bike to be there not on partners drive way with her as*hole of a father that medels/agruments and causes me to stress. god i cant wait for my theory test bring on feb the 4th, i can then finally book my test and go on to driving my rusty turd (land rover) witch being my luck will be horribly clapped out bag of poo. i am tempted to put the r125 in storage and transfer the insurance back on to a Tzr

i took the engine into a local garage to check the timing, they did so but they charged me £60 and filled it up with oil witch i drained and put running in oil insted. so all day spent putting engine in fixing any problems, 7pm comes i take battery of charge and put on the bike it turns over doesn't fire engine light flashing ? i only tried once didn't sound right ? help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KM1fXIcGn5s i am going to check the timing again tomorrow, annoyling i paid cash i have no proof of the work they done :/ i am worried i just wasted money i don't have.... i have a little bit of money saved this pile of junk has cost me £2000 buying £1000 in parts and god now how many hours HELP ME PLEASEEEEE

quick question how long shall i need to run the piston in for and do i need to retorque the head down? some people have said 100 miles and when i read online some people ran them in at 600 miles ? i am going to have a read through the manual today and have a little browse.

after a cuppa tea and fresh head the engine is timed and built... the funny groove at the bottom i pushed the piston rings against and slipped straight, i tried previously twice trying to slip it down the bore, had no problems until the pinion would not fit so in the end i worked out the groove happy days. everything back together and timed up, lesson i have learnt walk away if its stressing me out, have a brew and come back to it. sorry for the little rant earlier on, felt like i was going around in circles. now just need to look up the head bolts and barrel bolts torqing nm

Ive tried this there is annoying groove at the botton of the barrel that the rings ope on and the piston so diddy i have to push that far to alline with a the conrod, i am close to defeat with it. I feel like giving up with bikes just seem to end up with lemons i over paid for this one from a friend. I fewl doomed! To be road legal so stressed in the bike for work never expect any of this for a 6 year old bike

Sooo took the engine out in the dark friday night saturday cleaned and took head and barrel off done. Today try fit piston and it back together and hopefully back in the bike later on. I am having a few difficulties there is no room for a piston ring tool ? Tried pinching the rings and pushing up the barrel nut still no luck and it moves the rings from there postions.... HELP PLEASE

I might cry if that happens lol. It would be game over, i had to ride the bike to work today, it made it 15 miles and cut out ended up having a coffee hoping i can coach it to work and then load it in the works van to take it home and pull it apart poor bike was so sluggish, i kept the revs just under 6k

No, but it's not a massive job to drop the engine and it's much easier working on it while on a bench Indeed dude plus its warmer inside

Not entierally sure, i have just purchased a haynes manual, so i can have a look, id imagine it would make my life easier with the engine out. Ill see what clearance i have once i remove the fuel tank

Hi, I have started commuting to and from work up to 80 miles a day round trip, i find my self dazzled by lights in the dark ? I don't wear glases, but i have been told about some yellow anti dazzle glasses ? Are they any good is there anything anyone can suggest?

After agro with forks and front wheel, managed to get a nail in my tyre so just had that repaired today new rear pads. All my top end goodies arrived it was like early xmas pressy This friday ill remove the engine, this weekend i will dismantle the top end and rebuild/sunday refit and put back together and test. Then 600 miles riding in.

I am only mobile on a little bike atm, but based in hastings. But i do get around kent/tonbridge etc lol How come you was in kettering ? I lived in desborough most my life and grew around des/rothwell/corby/rushton.
