Because it's now fully extended . You have to take the end cap off , take out the spring and rod , lift the ratchet and reset the plunger , replace the gasket , bolt it back on , insert the rod and spring and finally replace the end cap . Failure to follow this procedure will result in serious engine damage .

well.. as this thread has gone off the rails so early. Its as good a place as any to post a photo of a random foodstuff. Which if you ever taste will have you leaning over anything handy, like a counter and being rather unwell in a dramatic fashion. (with sound effects)

  3. well handled , he got  gobby at first , then he started saying the right things. I would of asked bloke in black car if he saw what happened and got his details as a witness, just to back up your video footage.... could of been worse glad your ok.

Although the cheeky fooker did deserve a poke in the eye when he said its just a lump of metal.

Went to the club night tonight no food being served as the chef is off and no one else to cover, decided to call in at local take away for a bite to eat, ended up with some drunken b@stard that wouldn't leave the bike alone and broke the fixings for the ignition barrel on the top yoke, the police are looking for him but £70 for a top yoke so not worth going through insurance 🤬 doesn't even come close, not happy at all.

police should bring him to yours, cuff him to a rad and make him listen you try and play your key board , that'll teach the fooker.

This is exactly when you should buy a Sportster . Please trust me on this . Since I finally let go of my GSXR 1100 and bought my Harley I have enjoyed biking so much more . I've been on runs , met new people , been to custom shows and bike nights and  spent more time laughing , singing and just grinning at the sheer impractical absurdity of the thing than with any other bike . My mental health can wobble on occasions and my Asperger's needs kicking into touch from time to time but joining the Sportster community has really helped me weather life's storms . I refer specifically to the Sportster Sickness Facebook group . Why not join for a bit as an observer just to get the flavour of things . https://youtu.be/75Lz7eZYb8U

No I just mean you can't always judge someone by the state of their gardens, and usually if they have money they will probably have a gardener to do it anyway
