  1. Ok chicane!!! will be good to see you. please excuse my feeble attempts to spell welsh place names tonfanau is just off the A493. between Tywyn and Dollgellau. (mid wales). The campers are staying at a site in Tywyn. There are 2 tywyns (towyns)!! you want the one near Aberdyfi (aberdovey). have a look on a map , see what you think, anything else, just ask.
  2. susie and i are definately going to be there, hopefully on bike, if weather is looking really bad will come in car, will decide sat night/sun morning. it's a long time to stand around wet or cold!
  3. It's a dark cake justa, looks like ginger cake but it's got treacle in I think, traditionally eaten on bonfire night.
  4. you can walk to town in about 10 minutes from campsite, about the same to the prom about 15/20 to halo factory.
  5. Mmmmmm parkin! my favourite! wish I was coming now
  6. The ice creams are from the Halo factory on the way out of tywyn towards dollgellau, they also sell halo bars, chocs, and fudge. your campsite is near to the station for the Tal-y lyn steam railway which is worth a trip but costly. If you have fish and chips use the chippy in town not the one on the front. There will also probably be a market on the monday!
  7. yes there's always 2 flavours on, original and 1 other which changes every day it's not honey flavoured ice cream, it's made with honey instead of sugar, only place i've ever seen it!, it's really nice! and much better for you.
  8. depends on the weather and if the racing's been any good! and how strong the need for honey ice cream is
  9. I don't normally stay right to the end anyway, depends on the weather. It's not really about the racing just an excuse for a day out
  10. sun. practice starts at 0900. racing starts at 1200. normally about 8 races repeated 4 times. finishes about 1730/1800.
  11. looking forward to it! can some one confirm Fri 2000 eurosport?
  12. you do know that there are some very narrow lanes in wales I hope! and a lot of stone walls!
  13. Stu!!! come on!, lets be serious here! you can NOT!!! have a forum BBQ without beer!
  14. I don't really mind who wins as long as it's not Biaggi!
  15. Susie and I are going, on the bike, on the Sunday morning, leaving Telford appx 0900, should be there around 1100, allowing for smoke break and Brunstrom's finest Please note!!! The Racing is on Easter Sunday!!!, not Saturday!
  16. I rode all around wales on my AP50 30 years ago i had to keep swapping the spark plug but apart from that it was fine. I also rode a Puch Maxi, 49cc twist and go, from near portsmouth to telford (180 miles) only stopping for fags and coffee, ( 10 and a bit hours!) the moped was fine I wasn't!
  17. I think this will be the class to watch this year, looking forward to some good racing

  20. I found it all a bit of a let down too, hope stoner isn't that much better than the rest right from the off, I want to see some proper racing! Had also forgotten just how much drivel them 2 morons on eurosport churn out! isn't it about time Jamie whitam did motogp commentary as well? at least he's funny!
