  1. my bike came with Stubby's. dont like them really, Id prefer longer ones. Might have to look at getting another pair. I also found that if I adjust my levers too close to the handles. The Suzuki wont start as I need the clutch pulled in. In order for the bike to start. I guess the leaver hasn't been pulled enough when I've shortened it.
  2. I do a lot of motorway driving due to my job. I tend to do about 70 mph, for the pure reason as I hope the car is more economical at that speed than going any faster. I always think its funny when I'm in the middle lane and there is two cars in front doing about 60 to 65, so I pull into the 3rd lane slowly pass along. Then the car in front pulls into lane 1 and now the car that was just infront of me decides to do 80+ and bomb along on the near side of me. Why not just do what I did and go in the 3rd lane? I see this all the time sadly
  3. I like the sound of one of these, Plenty of room for the bike and other bits and bobs too.
  4. The main issue I have is the cut out for your nose is very high up. I dont feel that the visor comes down properly. I have to use my fingers to coax it down lower. It would be better if it didn't have the cutout for your nose. As noses go mine is very big lol and even mind doesn't need the cutout in it. I've seen you can buy replacement visors online but I cant find a video on how to replace it.
  5. I've got an AGV helmet with internal sun visor. Thing is I find the sun visor a bit useless, for two reasons. 1 it never really comes down as low as I'd like and secondly, there is like a cut-out for your nose. But as the visor sits fairly high up, I basically have what feels like a huge gap right in the middle of my field of vision. Is it possible to replace the sun visor on these helmets or at least fiddle with the mechanics so as to get the visor to come down lower?
  6. The last two companies I have worked for varied just slightly. CapGemini gave you 2 weeks Paternity, didn't really loose anything Computacenter gave you 1 weeks paternity and again didn't really loose anything
  7. I remember the good old days when I used to be a 32" waist. I need to wake up and start loosing the weight again. I lost nearly 2 stone a couple of years ago but its all slowly crept back on again :-/
  8. Update on the thread, I picked up a Buff and its great, keeps the hair out the face and protects the old ears. I tend to wear it like a bandana, so I look almost cool with it on lol
  9. yeah but I can pay for a course in Yorkshire for £49, so a good investment
  10. Didn't know about this, tempted to give it a go, every little helps as it were
  11. My NOTD goes to the little Toyota Yaris, whom got impatient when coming towards the end of a dual carriage way and its turning back into one lane. Decides to try and take two bikes and a van as the white arrows are telling you to get into one lane. ( we decided it was pushing it so held back behind the van until it was clear) I warned my mate he was coming via intercom and he bottles trying to get in front of my mate who was lead and decides to force his way in along side me! So I have to slow down to get behind him. Well quick blast of the throttle and I'm back in front of him again! C*ck!
  12. Its a Galaxy S4, Ill see if I can see the charging info on the phone, I have numerous cables at home, I suppose I can try another one of those also.
  13. it was fitted to the bike when I got it, wouldn't be surprised if it was.
  14. Finally had a long day out riding the bike, but noticed an issue with the USB socket. When Ive plugged my phone in, it appears to show its charging my phone. But alas it isn't. After 90 mins riding my battery had infact depleted slightly. so I then though fair do's it must be coz its trying to get a signal, so i set it in flight mode and carried on for another 90 minutes, it had depleted even more. Does this sound like a dodgy socket or dodgy wiring?
  15. I've no idea what my speedo was saying as I'd been distracted for a moment by my son. Saw the camera and just thought, god what speed am I doing. It was the speeding ticket I got through told me I was doing 34 mph.
  16. I've noticed on mine, they are loud enough when playing music/listening to sat nav instructions or when making calls. It just appears to be quieter when using the intercom part. My helmet is a box helmet and it looks like they've made in the inside to accommodate speakers as the fabric that goes where your ears are, has loads of little holes in, to allow sound to travel through. I might see if I can get some small foam inserts to push them out a little. My helmet is fairly new and doesn't allow half as much wind through as before.
  17. Are these good at high speeds? I've got a cheap one but its not much use when going faster than 60 mph
  18. Just got back from my speed awareness course. whilst on it I found out I shouldn't have been on it and told that if I can email them a copy of my letter stating my speed was below 35mph I will get my course fee's refunded. But as I'm not sure I've definitely got the letter still, I had to finish the course to prove I'd attended! Hope to god the letter is still at home
  19. Its a nice little 165 trip out there, hopefully do another 100 once we are there on the surrounding roads
  20. A friend and I are taking a little road trip at the weekend, heading out from Doncaster, to Great Yarmouth. Did it a couple of years ago on our little 125's thought we'd give it a shot one last time on our big bikes. Hoping we make a lot better time than last time and that there is no major accidents along the way. Once we are there we're planning on riding out and about till we've had enough and hitting the hotel for the night. Any recommended routes to try once we arrive in Great Yarmouth?
  21. yeah my ears get in the way too, so this should help no end
  22. Once I figure out how to upload a pic I will lol and how does one wear a buff [emoji23]
  23. I actually have short back and sides with a side parting, but have quite a bit of length on top as I'm going for a 1940's style cut
  24. I've got long ish hair on top, not long enough to put in a pony tail but long enough. When I put my helmet on, I find it tends to push my hair into my face. I then spend a minute tucking my hair to one side or up back into the helmet. So I'm considering on getting a skull cap, to keep my hair out my face when I put the helmet on. That and the added bonus of keeping pomade off of my helmet lining and it stops me having crazy helmet hair when I'm resting up/walking around. Anyone else wear a skull cap or caps of any sort? Wondering if my head will get too sweaty in the summer.
