  1. Hello, and welcome to the forum!

Good luck with the tests, what school are you going with?

Still plenty of time before winter kicks in for you to get a bike now. So long as you coat it in acf 50 or such it should be fine.

There can be great deals on used or exdemo bikes in the next few months too so what you might save up over winter, you might not actually have to pay if you buy now.

  2. Yeah it should kill the bike Liveware, Ive embarrassingly kicked it into gear with the side stand down and it just cuts the bike out.

    Me too.

Why is it we only do this when there are other bikers around though

I do this all the time these days… and an ever increasing number of times get annoyed with why my bike isn't starting, mess around with it, shout at it, then realise the kill switch is engaged.

  3. Different interests is one thing, but constant negative comments is emotional abuse and signs of a controlling personality.

    This.

Tell them to stop being so negative about your riding. Especially since they do not ride.

You are learning, and learning need encouragement way more than criticism.

  4. Oh it's not shallow to want a bike you like to look at. Bikes are way more about that than cars in my view!

The monsters are nice bikes, I looked at a few. My partner also has a little 620 monster in the garage. I like it but it likes to stab my calf muscle with its pointy little foots pegs every time I put a foot down! :-) Insurance for me as a new rider on it was reasonable, surprisingly.

  5. Yea I had spare plastics so didn't have to leave my bike naked for long ;-)

It's only 4-5 screws/plastic rivets per side to remove the whole front fairing bit. Once removed their is an assortment of screws holding the mat black plastics to the coloured bits.

When taking the sides off, there is one push clip that joins the coloured plastic to the tank (the orange oval in the picture below). It's located near the very top edge of the coloured plastic. It just takes a little wiggling to free it.

plastic rivets are evil to remove. So much so I have not put mine back in!

Screw/rivet locations - remove the seat first.

  6. The candidates should undertake a series of live-streamed challenges from an uncomfortable location, something where they eat bizarre foods that normal people would never touch. Which means putting them in Hull or Glasgow.

Glasgow is not uncomfortable! I will admit though, you can get some pretty weird food around the city

  7. Very nice little video. I do like them too, surprisingly skinny for a heavy bike. I have a bit of a joke with my local dealer that if they can lower one a few inches I'd buy one... One day I reckon they might actually do it and I'll take them up on it!

They sound absolutely amazing with the Akrapovic or the Termignoni cans by the way...

  8. Did you phone to book it in? Check phone records.

Did you email to complain? Check Emails for dates.

Do you let google track you? Look back in your timeline and see when you were there.

Did you send text messages to each other/other people around the time is was in getting looked at? Check messages.

Did you take time off work to get it sorted? Check work leave requests.

Was the car bought on finance? (at least partly?) If so, contact your finance company about it, they may be able to help.

I would have thought the garage would keep a record of what their staff were working on each day, so they should have a record in my mind.

  9. I am totally not advocating that you send the Ford Owners Club a one off fee of £15.95 to become a premium member and gain this coveted discount card (among other discounts) that never expires... That would be totally wrong, taking advantage of them like that! :angel12:

Disclaimer: I do actually have a Ford

  10. Lol I'm the same when round numbers appear as results on voting!

My local MP got reelected. We tend to bump into him in B&Q,Homebase and such at weekends for some weird reason... He's a bit headstrong and can come across as blinkered in some respects. But he does get things done, and is very much part of the city community.

Can't say I've ever seen any of the others that went for election around here. They don't even put their pictures on their flyers so no idea what they look like!

Notice SNP lost in Kirkcaldy, where are you?

They were always going to loose seats this time around because of the IndyRef2 in their manifesto.

Most surprised at the loss of so many seats in Aberdeenshire area to be honest.

    I'm in Dundee.
