It's a good site. Not always completely accurate, but I've used it to fix many things...

Enjoy everyone, wish I was coming along too!

lol indeed
The bag has a harness pad thing that you could put on a "normal" tank if you wanted to
-
I've been using this held tail/tank bag that I acquired from Rob... Can fit loads in it!

I fell asleep getting my tattoo done, its down my spine. Only woke up when he reached where my kidneys are cause I was twitching uncontrollably !
I never used the numbing cream either, heard too many back stories about it. Just washed it with luke warm water as often as possible and some plain moisturiser overnight.
If it's healed then I see no point in putting it off if you really want the tattoos.

Actual windows 10 is fine (I use it at home with no issues) , it's just not playing nicely with our legacy infrastructure.

I hate Exchange 2010. Outlook 2016 and Windows 10. In that order... argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I would wait until the injury has healed as much as it is going to. So no inflammation left and such. Apparent from that, if you can deal with the pain of getting a tattoo over a sensitive area then I don;'t see a problem. However I am no professional

3 sas drives for an urgent server build I think was my record. Dammit.
I find laptops are prone to static build up but if you drop the battery and power cable out and hold the power button for 30 seconds it clears the static nicely.

I find laptops, particularity metal cased ones, to be very bad for shocks. Maybe they just discharge into me...
Not as bad as cars though. About 9 out of 10 times I get zapped when I first touch a car to get in/out of it!
-
I wouldn't be concerned about it. I'm like a walking, talking Van de Graaff machine and I've not zapped a pc component so badly that it's stopped working yet
-
Oo new computer builds are fun!!

Urgh... I forgot that was on my home to do list as well MR_W
So not looking forward to it.

I do enough tech stuff at work that I now don't particularly enjoy doing it at home all the time now. Part of the current list:
Going through a phase of Minecraft + books at home. Need to really start on setting up some WiFi cameras around the house, and better NAS storage. Just not "in the zone" for setting up my own stuff just now

Thanks very much TukTuk, that would be very much appreciated
Just let me know how much postage would be if you find the keys and I'll paypal you it
-
Ive got a xena disk lock you can have for nothing if i can find the keys.
Oo if it fits I'd certainly not turn it down! Do you know what model/size it is? From what I gather, the little holes in the disks on my bike a 6mm pin would fit, but not a 10mm.

Ouch!
Mine are in an alarmed garaged overnight, which helps a lot. Very few insurers will actually insure bikes that are not garage in my post code
So that I do specify on my insurance! But carry around chains and stuff I don't. I do sometimes leave my bikes only with the steering lock, depending on where they are.
I do sometimes think my Grom must feel like a dog that is forever running away. It's always chained to something, more often than not it's chained to Robs bikes!
-
I never put down security on my insurance... I don't want them to have a come back on "well you didn't put X lock on" if it ever does get stolen. From playing around with quotes, they don't seem to take any more than a few quid off either.
-
Well done!!! It was thinking I had failed my driving test after 10min that actually got me to pass it too
As for test rides, it seem to be down to the dealers. I haven't had any problems getting test rides of bikes, so long as I was serious about them. BMW had to come out with me on a test ride, as that was a stipulation of their insurance. But it worked out well as he knew the roads a lot better than me
Enjoy bike shopping!

There is way too many of these things to choose from!

Thank you Ollie, excellent painting skills

Hmm, yea there does seem to be quite a few draw backs to using one of these I guess. For the price it seemed a good way for putting off the opportunistic thief without risking me trying to ride off with a disk lock attached
Ok, cheap but effective disk locks. Any recommendations? Also, what bit do they go through on the disk...Does it matter ?
-
Hey folks.
So if I know I'm going into a city centre or such I normally take my protector chain with me and chain the bike to something. However I am thinking about getting a disk lock or something to keep on the F700, for those impromptu trips to places where I'd rather secure the bike a little bit more than just the steering lock! (I'm still going to chain the grom to something... it is way more stealable than the BMW!)
Now, I am the forgetful type, and never used a disk lock before. So I really like the idea of this - Brake Lever Lock as it would be impossible for me to start off on the bike without removing it first
However... could jamming the brake on for extended periods of time (say 8hrs tops) cause problems to the disk/pads/caliper/other ?
Edit: Had a thought... so long as I'm not on a hill, I could use it on the clutch leaver instead. Would it harm the clutch?

That is a stunning bike, one of the few plastic clad ones I actually like! Good luck with selling it.
Yea... did I miss a post where you mentioned what new toy you are getting Six30 ?

My beloved Monster 620 is up for sale due to a change of circumstances. (Sadly I need to fund a new car).
She is in good condition for her age and mileage and must be seen to be fully appreciated. Starts and runs first time, every time and has a set of rather expensive bar end mirrors to complete the Cafe Racer look.
Bike is located in Dundee, Scotland.
Test rides possible with proof of insurance and the full value of the bike in my hand.
5 previous owners (including myself), Part service history, Next MOT due on 24/08/2017. (Hoping to get somewhere booked this weekend to renew it - shouldn't have any issues passing)
£2,145 ONO
