  2. But... is it operating? Have you set the new carb up correctly? When you check the plug - is it wet? (if not then fuel is NOT getting through correctly). Have you tried putting about a 1/2 teaspoon of fuel into the cylinder, fitting the plug and trying to start?
  3. You really need to cure and seal the tank from the inside - Any outside 'patching' will just continue to rot around the edges. You can get tank sealing kits (and they do work) but it takes time to do it properly and the tank has to be off the bike. 2nd hand tank from a breakers could be an option?
  4. Well, That is about it for this summer. Been twice on the Rocket with no Forum members in sight - NB. There is another 'Rocket man' who attends. Nice new(ish) black roadster version. As I've done 'tagging' also for this year, I may see you out and about but....
  5. Roger that - WILCO. Location - Paignton High Street. Had a 'Cow Pat' {Chocolate flavoured Ice cream on a plate).
  6. Airbus Defence and Space offer equal holiday with full pay for both Male and Female employees - 3 Months. Longer periods are negotiable but usually result in lower pay and may not hold the position open. Ian - I would challenge your company on the gender issue - We are after all, supposed to be 'equal' in the work place now!
  7. Bandit sold See you (and t'others) tonight?
  8. And yet the one person this was aimed at has not read it???
  9. Try scrunched up aluminium foil as a 'polisher'.
  10. Saw this whilst collecting 'Tags' and thought of you!
  11. No Deso - Have you tried parking a Rocket III close to anything? Also, nowhere to 'stick' my Tag Number. Hard enough with a tripod (at least it folds down small). Also - You Tag score is.....?
  12. I think that I've just completed my final trip for 2015 - Scored another 250 points doing the South-West over August Bank Holiday. Traffic was horrendous and the weather was a tad 'damp'. Anyhoo - that is the target to beat boys and girls - The gauntlet is thrown!

  15. You need to adjust / set up both ends of the cable - It sounds like the clutch push-rod end is incorrectly set.
  16. The packaging is useful in getting the Chimnea lit. The stuff in the tubes is good for metal - not so good with plastic and DO NOT PUT THE CAPS ON THE WRONG TUBES! (not that I'd know anything about what happens if you do )
  17. Plastic Steel is good for metal mounts but the 'pipe weld' is brilliant for plastic on plastic.
  18. Buy a Lexmoto...... Easy!
  19. The text below my avatar is a good clue Neil! Colour: Two-tone Blue and Cream Size: F-in Huge! Available for towing small cars out of ditches at a modest price
  20. That was absolutely brilliant! At the Folk Night, he played his 'Welly song' as well as quite a few 'real' folk songs. The lead member of our group played a 12-string and that was the first time I heard the now famous '12-string blues' where the strings/notes are diliberately mis-plucked in places. Similar to the 'Anre preview' sketch on Morcambe & Wise, where Eric states that he plays all the right notes but not necessarily in the right places. I have a newspaper article somewhere with a picture of the group - I'll have to dig it out and post it up on here.
  21. I bought some Leeks in Aldi and they tasted fine!
  22. Oh No! Death in a cage! I need to buy a tank to keep myself safe! Seriously though - All the best and hope you pass. LouMoo, I too am old in body but not in mind! You however, are still young in both mind and body!
  23. L plates allow a 125cc 'off roader' to exceed 77 mph whilst being chased by the polites!
  24. Did I ever tell you of the time me & T'missus met the 'Big yun'? It was at the Steamboat Hotel, Lossimouth (right next to the harbour). Thursday nights were 'Folk Night' and he actually asked if he could join us in the upstairs room Mrs had (and still has) a 6-string and he had brought his banjo. Brilliant night!
  25. C&C I can understand but.....
