  1. Why won't they just give up, is there so much wrong with the current one? REALLY!?
  2. Not bad for a few bikes and some silly outfits. I will be sure to involve myself as much as possible next year, i was going to meet you all with suzie at the Ace but i was already going sailing. Well done everyone, you should all be very proud
  3. Dont ask for an alternative product, they'll probably send you some spark plugs or something.
  4. http://themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=17351&hilit=+carb+icing Lol, you've advised me in that thread, on the same thing! Could try that product Stu mentions, Silkolene FST thing, I never did but it might be worth a try.

  6. Lol withdrawing your previous commendation then. Have you let the engine warm up properly? weather like this a good minute or two with the choke out.
  7. What roundabouts are you doing 35mph on!? These trigger X things don't sound like the best bikes in the world, I dno if i'd wanna go any faster on one.
  8. Nipple on the bottom of the carb should be attached to the pipe running down to the centre stand. It's for draining the float bowl or if the float bowl overflows it'll come out there. Carb should also have a breather pipe, which usually runs down to the bottom of the bike aswell. I dare say the oil pipe goes on the nipple on the side of the barrel, as that's ultimately where the oil needs to go, in too the fuel stream, but i couldn't be sure. Google's bought me no joy, except this diagram, not sure it helps though. http://www.bikechatforums.com/files/carb_116.jpg
  9. I had a simular problem, i could do more than 20, but i couldn't go past about half throttle without it getting all upset, and then the final straw was it revving it's nut's off. I took my carb off over the winter, stripped it and cleaned it and let a bloke check my float heights. Balanced the carb so the bike isn't running rich. Gotta sort the back brake out this week before i'm back on the road, but i'll let you know if this sorts it out.
  10. id try not to idle a two stroke as they tend to choke up. CBR 125 is 4 stroke
  11. http://themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=16797&hilit=size+13+boots Old thread, not quite as big as you're after, but a few of the answers were specially big boots.
  12. Where is this thread?
  13. Filter change, oil change, and spark change are the easiest bits of servicing imaginable, especially on a single cylinder bike, with no fairing. Unless this thing's under warrenty just do it yourself, it'll take you an hour absolute tops, once you've bought the new parts.
  14. Try not to let it get too near reserve you do run the risk of it sucking crap from the tank in. All you can do is get the carb off and check the float height. some bikes you can measure it with the carb still on. You got the manual?
  15. Turn the fuel tap to the off position. It's usually somewhere on, or just below the left hand side of the tank, as you sit on the bike.
  16. Get these plugs out and see if they're just coked up. I've heard when carb. bikes are restricted if they're not balanced properly they run rich, which would coke your plugs up. Or it's some fancy electronics problem. Someone on here will know anyway
  17. Unless that's specified somewhere, that sounds a bit high to me?
  18. Can it really keep your carb clean, or your spark plug!? Surely if your engine's running right, the spark plug shouldn't dirty too bad anyway?
  19. Tried putting a few drops of petrol down the spark plug holes? Or just one of them maybe.
  20. The hayabusa looks, over inflated somehow. I think the R series all look pretty simular, same pointy little headlights.
  21. the life span on a lid is nothing to do with wether it's used. It's to to with the degradation of glues used in the lid, 5 years used or not used is long enough for most lids. General advise is never ever buy second hand, and not online where you don't even know if it fits
  22. No matter what you do, spraying it red or blue like the rest of the bikes bits, the reds and blues will never match. it'll be hard to compare a new silver to the silver of the bellypan, because they're so far apart, and because the belly pan is always in shadow. I'd get it re done in silver.
  23. Is this when the bike has just been underway? or just sitting in the garden? If it was to do with the brakes, it shouldn't be an issue unless the bike's in gear. It won't be to do with the front brakes. Get the bike on it's centre stand (or just get the back wheel in the air) and spin the back wheel. It should spin freely and take a while to stop.
  24. fixing cracks in fibre glass can be done with fiber glass resin and fiberglass mesh. Cut the mes roughly to shape, mix the resin and it's hardener, then stipple the mix in to the fibre with a brush that you don't mind trashing. Use several layres of mesh and you'll get through more resin than you think. This is what's holding my mus guard together anyway
  25. Trying to find a carb repair kit for a yamaha SR 125. The carb is a "teikei Y24P" I've looked high and low, can't find one, any ideas? Cheers
