    Not guilty

What an absolute joke, glad common sense prevailed in the end but not good having that hanging over you all that time. The jobs f....d
  2. I have got a roll up waterproof that I keep in bag for emergencies I may try that see if it helps out as the issue is jacket I have is mostly mesh so wind does just sail straight through it. Great for summer riding though!
  3. Forgot about this post lol Have got a pinlock visor definitely worth its weight in gold, never get slightest bit of steam up. Find it a nightmare trying to clear visor when it rains though, gloves have a fabric type strip on index finger for wiping visor but just seems to smear it. Well it is definitely starting to turn, so far discovered my summer jacket even with the thermal lining is far too cold at 4am in 5'c, today I put a hoody on underneath and helped a bit but a new jacket is definitely next order. leaves are slowly appearing where I feared however only the odd few atm so nothing too worrying (yet) but will have to keep an eye on. Had one really horrible day, light drizzle and really strong winds and bike was an absolute beast to keep under control. Am much better in wind now than when first starting and don't hold bike in a death grip but this day I got caught twice and lost front wheel a bit which was terrifying. I will be garaging bike at some time as I don't fancy pushing it when risk of black ice / too many wet leaves. But despite having new car I'm itching to drive (despite issues in general chat it still drives perfect) I am still dragging the bike out each morning.
  4. Thanks for replies everyone. Triumph outlet does look good and much prefer an understated logo, liking the look of this one, anyone ever tried it... http://www.triumphfactoryoutlet.com/jackets/triumph-mens-endeavour-motorcycle-jacket.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
  5. Need some advice on picking a winter jacket as my summer one even with lining in its freezing already. Don't want to spend more than 100 but cheaper the better. Obviously after something warm and waterproof, what would be best leather or textile? Heard leather better waterproof but textile warmer, is this true? Any suggestions?
  6. Won't be letting it lie, tbh my main concern atm is getting my money back for parts ordered which was promised, few other things in pipeline which I'm not going to discuss in public untill money in my bank account lol
  7. Actually it blocked it really well Just glad they didn't take a more destructive route. As for name and shame, I simply do not know, dealer won't tell me what garage they used insisting they deal with them as they are ones that have paid for repair.
  8. Well my car blew up the other week, so went and got one on finance from dealer, at time of looking at it yet was a fault with swirl flaps and engine light on but dealer promised it would be fixed prior to me taking ownership. Waited two weeks to pick it up after garage it was at was struggling to repair it, got it Thursday and was off yesterday so hooked it up to diagnostic system and was showing fault with swirl flaps, so had a look and one side wasn't even connected, in fact the linkage wasn't even on correct way round and could never be connected. So intrigued today I took dash apart as previously engine light was on and this was their fix... Needless to say dealer is now paying for fully refurbished Ingram manifolds.
  9. Thanks for your replies, I'm normally miserable anyway tbh been caught in bad weather once leaving in summer gear and by time I go home is torrential rain and got soaked through so know importance of right gear and got all waterproofs when I first started counting on British weather being terrible just it was all sitting at home on that occasion. Tbh the length of trip I do each day (approx 8 miles) shouldn't be long enough to get too bad as long as i have right gear on and can do sensible at times hehe. Biggest worry is one section of blind bends with typical trees either side dangling over Road, this is first winter living here so don't know how bad they will shed their leaves over Road but that will have to be a wait and see, determined to keep riding but got the car just in case.
  10. Need to start thinking about first winter on a bike, have got 2nd car as Mrs nicks mine for work now but don't want to garage bike as soon as leaves turn orange as im having far too much fun, but, I don't want winter to spoil that. How bad is it really? I have visions of wet leaves and black ice hiding on every corner ready to kill me if I dare to turn within a mile of them... More concerned with actual rising and being safe keeping bike upright, have read plenty of articles about keeping warm and get that, but don't want to be warm in a ditch.
  11. Sorry only just seen this... Don't think I'll have finances soon was relying on sale of van which had to do a few things on to get ready for sale, but due to few personal issues atm can't see me getting it finished any time soon now and spare finances just went on 2nd car. If anything happens to change soon I'll give you a shout.
  12. I wear these... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mens-motorbike-motorcycle-denim-trousers-jeans-with-protective-lining-/122010556806?var=&hash=item1c68655986:m:manOFzKWLELa6zfrPwbC6Gw Came with decent CE knee protectors and feel sturdy but comfortable, the thigh pads don't seem to be worth much though... Not had a slide so can't say how they hold up but they were recommended to me by someone that had a minor slide in them and they just ended up dirty.
  13. Thanks, probably should have mentioned I have given it a good soak a few times. The screw just starts to crumble now so it really is becoming a mess. Well if it completely crumbles away problem solved getting it out Can you get a set of grips on it? Looks a fair amount of head to get onto it. Failing that it's drilling out if you drill just the head off may be enough when lens off to get set of grips on that then. Finally there are these... http://www.diy.com/departments/ptx-mixed-damaged-screw-remover-set-54mm-5-pieces/702452_BQ.prd" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Personally whenever I've tried these they never work and end up drilling out but maybe worth a try for £6
  14. Cheers worrying over nothing it seems. Thanks to everyone put my mind at rest.
  15. Cheers, definitely agree no-one wants to sit on traffic but more worried I end up doing it because I feel I have to and side swipe someone... Which would probably mess up test lol
  16. What is expectation on filtering in mod2 more to the point would it be a minor if you didn't filter when you could? It's one thing I am still really struggling with everything else is coming together great and laugh at things I found difficult a couple of months ago but few times I have tried filtering my nerves kick in and I'm very wobbly yet it is hard to practice as in an empty space i can ride slow and straight fine add cars and it goes to hell. Don't really know how to tackle this other than experience but it's definitely hardest challenge so far as I can't practice without the risk of other vehicles.
  17. Yeah school I used for CBT (and will definitely be going back to them for full licence) use the ER-6 for DAS and heard all good things, plus do like the look of them.
  18. Very tempted... How quick do you need gone and any negotiation on price?
  19. Whereabouts in Kent? Give us some more details and pics may be able to stretch budget.
  20. Looking for a spares repair bike to put away in garage and work on for when I get full licence. Preferably after a 600/650 but will consider 500 upwards but nothing too insane. Tbh looking as cheap and nothing over £500 but any condition considered as long as frame is ok and engine not seized everything else is negotiable.
  21. Weekend is good for me will PM my details
  22. Funnily enough it was where I left it... Got to be a first lol when do you want to collect?
  23. Tried to quit few times but heart was never in it as despite financial and health costs I enjoyed smoking. Now 3 weeks shy of a year since I switched to vaping completely. At first the bug hit me and i spent just as much if not more on vaping kit experimenting with different liquids / coils / etc... And it became like a drug always trying to get a better hit. Have now gone total opposite... Have a little 40w eleaf mod (running at just 10.5w), an aspire nautilus tank and stick to TJs ice mint liquid. I found this setup to be a 'simple' smoking replacement, the liquid is nice but don't get sickly and the out the box coils last me up to two months! So I'm now playing £10 for 3x10ml liquids which last me around a week and £2 for a coil every 6-8 weeks.
  24. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-Plug-BT-Motorcycle-Helmet-Bluetooth-Headset-Motorbike-Intercom-4-Riders-1200M-/252094756354?hash=item3ab204b602:g:pNsAAOSwKIpV-rfV" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Have one of these boxed and unused... Fitted it to try but speakers squashed ears too much and have flip up helmet which become a pain with mic so went straight back in box and never got round to returning it, yours if you collect (just off J4 M2) but will need a day or two to find it as no doubt Mrs has tidied it up somewhere.
