I once had an email argument with some numpty who had advertised a reg plate for a Pan European as being 'unique' That's the whole point of reg plates you stupid melon farmer.

You shouldn't overtake on the approach to a junction, and that's a graphic indication of why.

Congratulations Hoggs, I've just had a quick look at the map and it looks great. I particularly like the way you've kept the basic idea but added a couple of new twists. Look like it's off out tomorrow to find the pubs for me.

That’s an image that will stick for a while. Unfortunately

Not back to work until Jan 2nd, but on Bloodbike duty all yesterday and then starting 7pm today on call continuously until 7pm Boxing Day, when some other [strikeout]fool[/strikeout] willing volunteer takes over.

It's definitely a Scotoiler. The clear tube in the top of your first photo should go down to the back wheel and have a very thin black nozzle that drips the oil onto the face of the sprocket. The clear tube at the bottom of the photo is the breather and so the other end shouldn't be attached to anything. Hidden under that you should find a thin black tube that comes out of the centre and makes its' way to the inlet tracts somewhere, where it should be connected so that when the engine runs there is suction in the tube that opens the oiler valve. Unlike other replies I would always fit one to my chain driven bikes. I have just finished sorting out the oiler on my latest bike, and that's the fourth. It does depend what sort of rider you are: If you're using the bike every day to commute then the oiler is a godsend, especially at this time of year, as aside from checking that there's oil in the reservoir there is no chain maintenance do you for weeks or even months at a time. If you're an occasional rider, and don't mind spending a few minutes spraying lube around when you get home then they're probably not for you. They can be a bit fiddly to set up initially, but spend a bit of time and do it carefully, and they will serve you well. You're first photo would appear to show the reservoir under the seat and just about horizontal. That's not a good site. The unit should be as near to vertical as possible with the end at the top of your photo at the bottom. I fitted one to an ER6F and put it inside the fairing on the left hand side.

Don't bother with JOG, just look at a map and you'll see that it's a nothing sort of a position. If you want to go to the North East corner then that's Duncansby Head Lighthouse or if you want to go to the most Northerly point then that's Dunnet Head.

https://www.prescottbikefestival.co.uk/ Got nothing planned this weekend? Come along and have great time and raise money to fund not only the local blood bike group but also the nationwide association. I's a fab event, at least I hear it is, as although I've been every year I'm either in a field somewhere parking bikes or cars, or stood in a marquee in the corner of the field taking money. This is not an event run by some corporation who give a nominal amount to the charity, it's run by the members of Severn Freewheelers, so ALL the profits go to running blood bikes.
