Next weekend we'll be in Scotland!
Got a full week of nights to do first but, once I finish Fri morning,
we're off for a 15 night tour in the campervan.
first night in Gretna
Try the B7076 / B7078 that I'm always banging on about . See if you can spot the extra wide grass verges bisected by unusually long driveways and the gigantic road signs . https://www.roads.org.uk/articles/b7076-and-b7078

I need to turn my attention to mine . It runs and rides great but I limped home on one cylinder when I took it for a long run . Probably just the usual float valve issues despite the big inline filter I fitted . As soon as I'm satisfied that it's reliable I'll flog it .

If your starving your starving, probably healthier than a big mac meal
Whenever I see members of the traveling community and their fat children creating chaos in MacDonalds they have usually got a wedge of cash the size of a brick , so I think Mrs Tiggywinkle is probably off the menu these days .

Roadside clay oven for that.
You would have to be absolutely starving to bake a Hedgehog in clay complete with all its guts and then try to eat it . The thing has hardly any meat on it and it eats slugs and worms . I suspect this concept might be a rural myth .

Think I'll check out the custom bike and car show at Alcester Rugby Club on Saturday . Only £2 to get in and straight down the A46 .

Just like @fastbob its that time of year for me too!
Its starting to become a yearly thing where me and the missus book last minute and sod off to wales for around 4 days
Got a hotel booked in Betws y Coed route planned going and a route planned to go up to mach loop as I have seen it mentioned a few time on here so I thought I would give it a look
Setting off tomorrow morning and will be back Friday night
I didn't know it was called the Mach Loop back in the Seventies but I was with my family walking alongside Llyn Mwyngil when a Blackburn Buccaneer came flat out overhead at zero feet . I didn't hear it until it was upon us so it must have been fast but subsonic . The best bit was afterwards when for nearly a minute the air was filled with whistles and crackles and all kinds of strange noises . An amazing sight .

Some nice eadt going roads through the cotswolds and back through Worcestershire
Banbury to Shipston has some amazing views of the "Rolling" Oxfordshire countryside but the surface is horrible .

Got up and headed to Coleshill Bikers World for a Breakfast Batch . Then I found myself in Stratford upon Avon followed by Banbury and then I noticed that I was in Shipston on Stour . Half way to Oxford I veered off towards Stow on the Wold and ended up in Pershore . A quick sprint along the A 46 and here I am in Coventry again . Would it have anything to do with this ?

gave the bike a clean, and had the joys of taking the front cog cover off. It's been a few chain cleans since I did it last and I was shocked how much buildup of thick grease like crud!
Best cleaner bar none is Petrol .

I think I'll nominate myself and not for the first time . I thought I'd squirt a little WD40 into the throttle housing of my new Harley just to see if it freed up the throttle action a bit , which it did . So off for a lovely ride in the countryside and I spot a bloke pushing a 125 . I indicated left and stopped to help but he just ignored me so I indicated right to carry on my way . Ah , my hazard flashers are on , don't remember doing that . Click both buttons* and nothing happens , shit . So I had to ride home again like a bloody press bike in the Tour de France causing all kinds of confusion among the car people . Unfortunately I also rang Mr Frog who was having his dinner , sorry Ian , to find out where the fuses live . Anyway , although the WD40 might have been the cause , I don't know what the cure is yet because once I had the side panel off the thing stopped flashing . Oh well at least I know where the bike's brain lives . It's like a medium tablet in its own little tray , very tidy . * Don't ask .

On the other hand , my GSXR 1100 has presumably not been ridden since I sold it four years ago . A DVLA check shows it untaxed and with no MOT . It's a mystery to me what happened to it . The guy rode it away alright . He was only a little bloke and the back end was raised a bit because I put a GSXR 1000 shock on it . Maybe he thinks it's an investment . Who can spot Bob ?

Change your bike for something completely different ( And bigger ) You've done the wizzy race rep thing so try a Harley or an Adventure Bike or better still , buy a scrapper and build a custom bike . This life choice has many facets and like anything else you don't want to get stuck in a rut . There's very little you can get out of a CBR6 that you haven't got out of it already .

I must just be built in weird proportions!
I think I'll just see how I get on with this as it is.
If/when I get bored of it, I'll probably just l get another shorter one and see if i can bend it to perfection...
But if you bend the long one you will effectively shorten it .

I don't think that is actually a Lay-by . Looks more like a parking bay to me . Can't beat a big , air cooled muscle bike .
