No adjustment since the first running in service. Though I am careful with lubing. (Gear oil)

I will only miss the shaft on my old BMW when it comes time to replace the chain and sprockets on the Africa Twin. I’m guessing it will cost a tad more than the £10 oil and crushwasher change on the Beemer.

Good morning from north west Italy in the mountains west of Turin. After battling 37c heat yesterday we are heading over the Alps later in search of free beer and balcony roads.

mine is just below my line of sight, I shudder at the idea of having it placed below the instruments or over by the mirror stem!!

What on earth. All set to go today. Looked at the webcam an 100s of fire engines. More than I’ve ever seen in my life!! Quick search online and… what? what are they doing? Setting fire to the restaurant and seeing who can put it out first before the curtains get singed? this is too bizarre. we have to go… just to admire the madness.

It was ever so nice. Currently at an Aldi in Brixen which is like no Aldi I’ve ever seen in my life. 2 floors with the flat escalator down and up. Leaving Paul to do the shopping (there’s just so much pizza I can take. Though today I slummed it with venison. Nice day. Popped into Austria to ride the staller pass and Pustertaler. Moving to Zell on Sunday to try for the Glockner.

For gods sake… some of the answers on this thread had us rolling around laughing. We are currently in the Dolomites having crossed France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Austria. first. The Uk sticker thing is a uk rule, the Europeans don’t care. We have seen more GB plates than UK by at least a 10/1 ratio. The only reason to change to UK is to keep the northern Irish happy. An NI sticker is allowed but ENG. CYM. SCO. And GB have been banned by this shower of Tory chancers. buy a crossing on the day and you will pay top price. Buy online. only covid requirement is the Nhs app. V5 original. Insurance certificate. Passport that’s it. UK has brought out a Global health card. Which isn’t “Global” at all. It’s EU and allied countries only. Another Con. bring some face masks as you might have to wear them in some very limited circumstances. we got travel insurance from Navigator as they are fine with big bikes. Roadside rescue from ETA. and that’s about it.

Right at this moment, suffering from heat exhaustion. Saw 30c today. Didn’t quite make it to Austria. Currently in the Algau. Not far from Fussen. Crossing into Austria tomorrow and then into Italy.
