  1. Funnily enough although bikes are the blood of the forum we all have lives and I'm pretty sure we all eat @Stuwhat's this mumsnet, do you own that too @Tigs Chicken wings Steak Thai green curry fish
  2. Yea I imagine tea pot gets a bit hot and it's bound to be a pain to get the strainer in. To the rest who could resist a stupid answer, you could have mentioned the benefits before now I cooked our entire tea in it the other night and it cost about 8p we're still on an old tariff. Had steak tonight, finished off with super fry, came out perfect.
  3. We were a bit late to the air fryer fad, wife informed me one had arrived last sat, there was a conversation (apparently) prior to that at which I was present and agreed It's not great at everything but the stuff it's good at are bloody marvellous. It's early days, it's taking a little getting used to cooking times, sometimes they are really short sometimes not, if you get it wrong though as in too long it's toast, literally Way more energy efficient than the oven and seems to keep more flavour than a pan or the oven.

    Man Vs woman!

I swapped our passports with the kids couple of year back, we were off to Bali so not something you would want to f**k up, her face as she took them out at check in desk was a picture
  5. Still assault, but this is the reason why it's best just to let it go, unfortunately I'm not one for letting things go

    Man Vs woman!

That just says to me that you need to spend less time looking in the mirror The wife just packs and I carry the cases, that's the extent of my involvement
  7. This should have been reported to the police, I tried signing in to ask the question but phone is stuck in a loop of sending a code then not logging in.
  8. Bike like experience with much more stable and sure-footed road holding and braking in wet, but Yea our local dealer had one in for yrs, started using it as loan bike for service's
  9. It goes bang easier and scares them that's why I'm sure it will become more of a thing in the future. A safety report for hydrogen in houses said there would be 4 times as many deadly house explosions and in any room containing an appliance or pipework you would need a fixed 4" vent, that will screw up the thermal efficiency Only 1 hydrogen car on autotrader at the mo.
  10. Yea till it goes flat and he has a tantrum
  11. Same problem, range, nothing wrong with the electric drive, it's just hard to hide a big battery on a bike and not notice the extra 250kg It will happen though and it's a shame cause electrons weigh bugger all
  12. I also know the correct reply to that
  13. Happy to be of service, pleased you got it sorted.
  14. We the same, have looked at it but prob going to wait a few yrs before taking the plunge, will likely always have a second car, but after first hand experience with a small battery that won't be an option. I liked the E brake setting, dosent half slow you down and its progressive so slower you go the more it slows, can see brake pads lasting a long time, it also had a mechanical hand brake, I don't like electric handbrakes
  15. What was the car?, when I took the leaf back he asked how was it, great to drive but crap range, Yea we get that alot said he
  16. Err I was driving round town, wearing a woolly hat, yes I was hung up on range as there is no way on this planet I was getting to work and back, I guess I could have turned off the radio and started singing to myself.
  17. Uncertainty is often worse than what follows, once you know where you stand or sit you can at least make a plan
  18. Yes decide what you like best and buy that, life is too short, don't worry if you get it wrong just buy another bike Welcome
  19. What ever the reasons and excuses that's pretty pathetic I was fully dressed for being outside so hardly taxed the heating system, roads were busy both ways but not a huge amount of time sat not moving, hit heady heights of 65 at one point.
  20. So dropped off and van returned So picked up with range of 70miles and returned with
  21. I was pottering round town, no lights on and a 5mile journey, anywhoo, looks like I'm off for an argument, can't get through on phone and nothing to say what time I can collect my van, it had better not be parked where I left it
  22. https://www.whatcar.com/news/the-10-fastest-depreciating-electric-cars/n24549 Leccy are not immune to depreciation, autotrader have noticed a bigger drop than expected due to the price of Leccy going up.
  23. Maybe an m3 from the 90's mate has the m3 performance it's 0 to 60 is 3s and it dosent stop pulling till it hits the limiter, only thing quicker I've been in and not on a track is a model s and a turbo hyabusa. It took me all of a minute to get used to the leaf, I put it into eco, put the e brake on and off and range was still crap, its the smaller battery one but would now certainly not consider one of the small battery cars from any manufacturer regardless of what they claim. It was/is a nice car and we would have one but it would have to be a town car and be the longest range they did or I may not make it to the shop and back
  24. So friendds daughter got a new Leccy bmw, had it a month, went back to bmw for 2 month, had it another month and its gone back for good, its been replaced by bmw with a diesel version due to inability to hit anywhere near quoted range. I've just been given a nissan leaf as curtesy car, started out with 70mile as range, within 2 it had lost 8, by time I've gotten home it's lost almost 14 for a 5mile journey, they may be the future but its a very over optimistic one, I'm not risking it for work I've parked it up and taking the wife's diesel, I can see a trend
  25. Welcome
