Police are the same the world over, good and bad in them all, I've a mate who's in law enforcement in hazard kentucky, you wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of him, ex marine, he's as laid back and calm as can be but in general I think the whole thought process of law and disorder is different to what we are used to.
