Undecided. It has a certain retro charm, and looks in good nic. Not sure i'd be seen dead on it, though

Love you too mwah August bank holiday might be a bit late for me. Should be off work may/june/july, but that could change Otherwise i'll fit in with whatever date is decided on

Lake district (Keswick) camping weekend Aug 24/25
bigsisterbiker replied to TC's topic in North West Rideouts and Meets
Was looking forward to this, but i'm crying off. been camping three times so far this year, and it's peed down every time and i'm a bit fed up with it to be honest so, had a look at the weather for keswick for friday and saturday and it's looks god-awful, so i've made an executive decision. hope the weather forecast is wrong and you all stay dry and have a great time -
Suggestions for Venue for next years TMBF Rally

I've read some of the reviews of the square and compass, too, and they're generally negative. the halfway house inn looks good - i like the option of hiring a caravan for the weekend too i've not got a link, cos i'm useless , but the Royal Oak at Hurdlow looks good. Just had another look at their website - they've got a camping barn they take group bookings for, but don't do large groups for the campsite -

Rain PROOF kit
bigsisterbiker replied to Grumpy Old Git's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
After four days of constant rain in wales a couple of weeks ago, my hein gericke textile trousers and my five year old spada jacket didn't let in a drop. my boots are daytona, and not only did they stay dry, my feet where lovely and warm the whole time. happily recommend the lot the only thing that let me down where my waterproof, brand new hein gericke gloves. they'd not been sewn properly with enough of an overlap on a seam so the seam seperated. the shop changed them with no arguments at all, so i'm happy enough. johnny gloves under my normal summer gloves where almost as warm -
i'll dig out the flask - coffee while it lasts for the ones braving the rain

Just had a look at the weather and it's rain. So i'm coming in the car again Would have come on the bike, but had four days in Wales getting drenched last week and have had enough of that for now Hope you don't get too wet Sue I can bring my comfy sleeping bag and the bigger tent yay I'll bring my spare in case anyone is in need. It's a small two man, but it's plenty big enough for one and kit. And if anyone from Hull/area would like me to take their tent text me, number is in contacts
-
good luck with that stu. think the weather monkeys might be out soon and before anyone - sue - says anything, no i didn't drive and it wasn't my helmet and number on a random bike

If anyone is going up to the manor cafe be careful, they've resurfaced the road with that crappy gravel and it's all over the place it's spread quite a way either side of the work too and i got stuck in york coming back from there yesterday - lucky me caught the flippin olympic flame going through! serves me right for missing the ring road exit and going through the middle

a friend of mine just had a bit of a windfall, and wishes he'd paid off his mortgage instead of buying a brand new car - which he doesn't like that much as well as the knowledge his house is totally his, he'd have more spare cash each month and could have had the new car anyway on finance and it's always nice knowing you've got a bit extra cash to flash if you need it
-
don't know about the a16's, but i've got a pipewerx on the bike i've just bought. it looks great and sounds fantastic. the guy i bought it off said he thought it was a bit too loud even with the baffles in. with them out it's a proper window-rattler

i'll tag on to route 2 i think. unless it's blatting down with rain. i'll be on a naked by then, and don't really fancy freezing to death from rain and wind chill thanks for sorting these TC

Thanks Sue! I'm not able to get online everyday, but I'll try keep up while I can lol. We're alongside for another week and a bit but then I'll be off again. Enjoyed it last year, looking forward to this one, hopefully with better weather I'll have a look for fancy dress too this year. Don't think I can beat a banana in pyjamas though
-
I'll be there! Don't know if it'll be bike or car, but it'll be tenting again! Hope the weather is a bit better than last year. Please stick me on the list. Ta

If i'm understanding right what has been happening, it sounds like what happened to me last year. All I had to do was bleed the clutch. Can't remember the specifics, but all to do with water in the fluid. Changes the viscosity of the fluid so the clutch slips. whatever it is, hope you get it sorted
