  1. So just to clear up, do you: Drive a car Ride a Bike And float a boat? Actually you navigate a boat Sink a Sub
  2. That would be me. I was atempting cleaning the jet when I saw the needle wasn't sitting properly and a poke reviled it was not clipped in
  3. I'm not 100% on terminology but I will give it a shot. On/in the throttle butter fly is a pin that goes threw the caroboretter and down to the fule resivor at the bottom. When the throttle is opened and the barrel/throttle butterfly moves up, is the pin supposed to move with it? At the moment its loosely sitting in the barrel.
  4. Just made a new playlist for my snowboarding trip! A lot of Offspring with a bit of OPM, Rage against the machine, Chili Peppers, Feeder and that kinda scene. (its on spotify slapthembassstringslikeudonnoodles if you wanna listen) and that new song by Portugal the man- Feel it still
  5. I'm talking about my lid not my jewels. How do you guys keep your lid from stinking up from sweat and bad breath and so on? Sprayed some aftershave in to it but got to be a better idea than that
  6. I never thought about this untll now but can you get your helmet covered as part of you insurance?
  7. Happy Birthday! Hope the party's off the hook! ...we are all invited right?
  8. Think you might have an idea here. Cycle lanes for motorcyclist only. Sunday bikers riding three abreast and such
  9. I got an Xbox one last year but kind of wish I had a ps4 (is it 4 they are on now?) as all my friends are on that. But to be honest they are all shit because there are almost no split screen games anymore. its all online and micro purchase. Nothing beats a night in with mates playing ssx 3 or time splitters or the original Battle front 2 on the ps2. No internet online mberships micropirches of over hyped 13 year olds leading to swear. Bring back split screen games!!!!
  10. Thanks guys, bit demoralized but I will be back on it tomorrow to get it to the mechanic for a quick check up make sure I put all the right pieces in the right places. Then a long rideto make sure my confidence on has not dwindled and learn from my errors. But now I can officially say : two and 1/2 months before my first off.
  11. Cool. Just need to get it back on and my bikes almost good as new
  12. What is this? I was curious so I poked it then I pulled it and it came off.
  13. Tonight, about 40 minuets ago. On a roundabout as I came up to start exiting I felt the back wheel slip out and ...crash. I was only doing about 20 in second gear so not very fast. When I got my Bike to the side of the Road I had a look around the roundabout and found two puddles of different liquids, one was petrol (I think) the other was unknown. I'm Ok but my bike is a little bent up. No idea where to start fixing/inspecting it. I'm going to be learning a lot about mechanics over the next few days.
  14. Good to see we are branching out on our tree puns
  15. I had a look threw, turns out lexmotos and electricity just don't go well
  16. Is that a question or a statement about the overcharging?
  17. Hey guys! So Leximoto aspire with an added alarm and immobilizer, put a new battery (12v) in about a month ago and its almost flat and the bike doesn't always start with the button. So one or twice I had to push the bike and drop it in to gear to start it. After doing some tests I found with the engine idling the voltage was about 11.70. Then when I rev up to about 5000 its charging at 11.95. I think its the regulator as apose to the altinator but I don't know how to confirm this. And ideas? (Don't have photos of the bike but I could add a photo of my mates dog)
  18. Most of grandads tools are pre dating the dinosaurs (still in good working order tho) but I should be good on both the metric and imperial
  19. Part two a. - Box and label all parts Two b. - find some BSA friends
  20. So my grandad has his old BSA lightning split in to a thousand pieces, hidden around his shed. It's been in this sate for about 15-20 years. I am keen to restore it to working order, but lack the knowledge, I have been reading Haines motorcycle basics as well as carrying out basic services on my own 125cc. I'm not sure how to make the step up and become skilled enough to start the project. Step one - buy BSA workshop manual Step two - ????? Step three - shiny like new BSA Wish me luck
  21. Completely agree. You don't DRIVE a motorbike, you RIDE one. You don't call Marquez, Rossi etc a motorbike driver!! So just to clear up, do you: Drive a car Ride a Bike And float a boat?
  22. One of the best moments of my life was driving down a long, wide road in Phong Nha surounded mountains and streams. I pulled over while some cattle crossed the road ahead and got out my little shity mp3 player, put on "intro - the xx" and just sat on my bike taking in the view and watch the sun start to creep away. Hands down one of the best moments of my life and that was the perfect sound track. ">
