  1. Hi Jevi First of all I wouldn't go by what the speedo is saying if that is what he is indicating to reference speed, my lexmoto speedo showing 75 when I'm doing 60, not bad if it was 75 but is not, ask him if it feels like the bike is accelerating but maybe just not showing? For choke I start mine up and I can manage only about 30-60 sec on choke then I have to fully open other wise bike will die, just adjust your idle screw a bit on carb and see if this will improve, could be just jets and carb need good cleaning, not a hard job, check your throttle cable going to carb, does your model have EGR valve? Link to near the same carb, will show you some basics and what is responsible for what http://www.ccwthariders.com/uploads/9/7/7/9/9779070/pz_carb_tuning_manual.pdf ...ish. how could you measure speed with out access to a speed gun? I'm curious to know if I'm doing the speeds my bike says I'm doing
  2. I'm hoping on day they might join in with me when singing "batout of hell" or "total eclipse of the heart"
  3. I don't have speakers for my helmet so I normaly sing loudly to myself over the engine and wind. the acoustics in my helmet are not the best, gets a very muffled low end sound but once you in the groove its not so bad. But the top songs keep poping up on my playlist this week are : el Goodo - talking to the birds The Black Keys - gold on the ceiling Kasabian - god bless this acid house
  4. Yesterday my front break felt a bit soft on the lever end. The break still worked but the lever was just a lot more flexible than usual. This morning the bike dropped on its side (because Im a knob and had it stood on grass and the stand sunk in to the mud) the front break lever has gone back to being les flexible more stiff but working fine (as far as I'm aware). I'm trying to figure out what's changed from it falling on its side to cause this. I think it might have been the break fluid not refiling from the reservoir making the grip softer and the knock unblocked it and re filled the pipes (this is a guess I'm still new to bike mechanics) And ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated
  5. Why did the princess cross the road? She wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
  6. Tore it apart. No tool kit. But I have lrbt note about taking my bike apart
  7. -Get an old hack saw blade. (Smaller the better) -Clip the ends off so the little knobs are gone (the little knobs that hold in in to the Handel) -File away all the teeth apart from two or three eather end of the blade. -now insert the blade in to the lock and wiggle it over the top or Dow the side of the broken key. The end teeth should then hook round the key as you pull it out. This works on most padlocls and house keys but might be difficult on a car key. You can buy lock picls that do a similer job but this is cheeper. Hope this helps dude.
  8. You bike came with a tool kit?! First thing tomorrow im searching my bile for one
  9. Is this why you recommended good boots to me?
  10. Tho I imagen it to be bigger than 4.5
  11. Another stupid question: is a "spark plug socket wrench" a normal sized socket (like a 4.5 or somthing ) but just refers to as a "spark plug socket" or is it a unique shaped socket purely used removing spark plugs?
  12. dose the government count as one thing? if not then school mums and the 4x4 battering rams they drive
  13. ok more stupid questions: I'm trying to trouble shoot power issues. The bike has died on me a few times and not been able to restart. I charged the battery over night about 10 hours, but the bike died again the next day. I have put a new battery in today and it starts no problem, but how can I tell if the Alternator is working? (also Alternator is what charges the battery as i ride right?) Bike details 125cc Lexmoto Aspire battery is a Halfords Hb9-b the bike has an added alarm and remote ignition (I will be removing the remote ignition once i know more about the electrics and workings of the bike)
  14. why do chicken coops only have two doors? Because if they had four they would be chicken sedans
  15. f*ck yeah! this little 125 is just the beginning. In the next two years I hope to learn enough to rebuild my Granddad's BSA Lightning and get it on the road. I will prob not be able to do it all by myself but I would like to think I could develop the skills to get it started.
  16. I just orderd Haynes Chinese 125cc motorcycles. Hopefully will give me more of an insight.
  17. Thanks guys! I need to get a manual and start taking apart and rebuilding the bike to learn and understand it all.
  18. yeah that's it, switches between on off and reserve tank.
  19. so a few stupid questions: on the user manual of my bike it says: "if the cock lever is set to the Off position the fuel supply will stop. Always set the cock lever to the position after use." why should I do this? how doe it help? (more stupid questions to follow)
  20. This was the best thing I have seen all day
  21. Is badger bashing a common occurrence? Imagine the biker wont come off well in a high speed badger impact. lol
  22. This sounds like my trip to Vietnam, buy the cheapest thing with two wheels and go from Hanoi to Hochi. I ended up with a nippy Yamaha scooter that only blew up or broke down every other day. Hope this is a yearly event! Good luck!
  23. So I got my self my first Bike this week (lexmoto aspire 125) off a private seller. He modified the bike with a fat Lextec exhaust and from what I understand it makes the bike louder. Dose this serve any to do anything other than make the bike sound bigger than it is? I was thinking it might be good to alert other road users of my presence but aide from that dose it do anything? would it be worth swapping it back to the original exhaust pipe (if i can find one)? p.s first post! woop woop!
