  1. Thanks for the offer repsolblade, sound good to me. Parapanfan has devised a route as shown in: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=A51%2FBoughton+%4053.192370,+-2.878090&daddr=Unknown+road+%4053.179420,+-2.896780+to:Lache+Ln+%4053.157350,+-2.928310+to:Kinnerton+Rd+%4053.123430,+-3.033100+to:A550+%4053.142650,+-3.052010+to:A541+%4053.136160,+-3.081800+to:A5104+%4053.050360,+-3.211610+to:A542%2FHorseshoe+Pass+View+%4053.023090,+-3.204730+to:A525%2FWrexham+Rd+%4053.111700,+-3.305630+to:B5105+%4053.026120,+-3.560900+to:B4501+%4053.143920,+-3.462310+to:A550+%4053.155680,+-3.043210+to:53.186493,-2.856102&mrcr=11&mrsp=12&sz=12&mra=dme&sll=53.171061,-2.883224&sspn=0.088081,0.314827&ie=UTF8&ll=53.142652,-3.23822&spn=0.352559,1.259308&z=10&om=1 Your opinions all how would like to join would be grateful, at this stage nothing is set in stone; open to your suggestions. The only reason why I suggest A55 is that you cant go wrong, get lost on that one but if were all happy with route then thats fine, I agree its the most boring road going too. As for Woods, not all will want to look at bikes, answers on a postcard if you jjust wish to go to the Ponderosa and enjoy the roads from there.
  2. Oh okay Im sortin it, well went to woods and ponderosa today (wahey) so chances are I wont get lost. In fairness Jota took us Sunday the 5th of August is good for me. Say 10 - 10.30 am at Hein Gericke, theres also Bill Smiths short walk up the road, 11.30am leave there to go up the Horseshoe pass and to the Ponderosa cafe for lunch. 2.00pm leave for Woods Motorcycles through some great roads. I do think for all that dont know the area, Woods is by far the easiest to find your way on to the A55 coast road and home as its just round the corner from the A55, its boring dual carriageway but its straight through; back to chester, joining the M56 etc Would do it the Sunday before but its my birthday (hint lol) so mrs h wants me to herself. http://www.hein-gericke.com/uk/shops.php http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=62-66%20Boughton%2C%20Chester%2C%20CH3%205AQ&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&um=1&sa=N&tab=wl http://www.ponderosacafe.co.uk/ http://www.ponderosacafe.co.uk/Where_are_we/Map1.gif http://www.woodsmotorcycles.co.uk/index.htm http://www.woodsmotorcycles.co.uk/static_images/motorway_map.gif
  3. Hi all If anyone fancies a day over this side, thougt we could meet up at Hein Gericke store in Chester for a natter and to banter with the staff (all good ones by the way) maybe with a journey down to the ponderosa cafe and if theres time up to Woods motorcycles to drool over the bikes. This is just a suggestion, I really dont want to be the front runner as I'll get us all lost but it sounds like a good plan. Any one that has suggestions / routes / places please put your input. I reckon theres enough to do and enough that can make it to do a good day out for all. Who can predict the rain but if we say a Sunday in about 2 - 3 weeks, both Hein Gericke and Woods are open and I'd like to meet y'all again.

The meet for me was more important than the ride, fair do's lovely scenery but top of my list was meeting y'all, salutin the boss, talking bikes etc So I vote meet in possibly a non biker haven so we know if a bike turns up it'll be a member, just a thought. 16. that did occur to me in a more sober state that only one side would get done, even at 3 am I wouldnt career round roundies the wrong way, oh well spose I better try harder on the corners and leave the dual carriageway in favour on a more scenic routes.
  17. we can swap bikes for a week if ya wont
  18. See!!!!!!!! eddy you dony now you ass fron your elbo, oh god the voddy all gone noe and its only tuusday
  19. see eddy! someone else likes avon laddys!!!!!!!!!!!!! git will debatee your post and let you know stewy baby
  20. Oi ya cheeky sod I rate the avon ones as good uns, you sayin Im a cheapskate? step outside gitface, I'll wipe the floor wi' ya! handbags at dawn! Decent rubber pah, they are bleedin decent, you just want to brag you got better bands than me!
  21. If he's trying to flog ya azzaro st's Id have a gander at em as I rate em on mine, yeah they arent as cool as the others but they are great tyres. I can have my mad moments and these have never let me hink they werent up to it. Im a avon lady fan
  22. There is a good piece in april 2007 issue of Ride called big fix little box, its on about snatchy hrottle on a monster 600 but its the same thing. Ask me nicely I'll send it to you I have heard people have to change thier riding style / how much of a handful you grab with fuel injection, never had it as all the bikes Ive had use carbs but it is fairly common thing. power commander and dyno looking at 380 quid roughly so its up to you if its worth it.
  23. Point taken Ren, my chicken strips are about 3/4 of an inch so not taking it to the limit, I will spend the day going round roundabouts
  24. ...well my rear tyre is getting that way, just looking at the profile its squaring off. Now I'm a lazy / tight / daft git with me tyres. Only time Ive changed a tyre on a bike was when I saw I got it down to the carcass So anyway, my tyres are Avon Azzaro st's, gawd knows on mileage as they were on the bike already. Ive done around 2500 on em, still loads of tread, if you know these tyres they've got really deep tread so thats not a prob but it is squaring off. Is it handling worse? no not really, corners okay Ive got a set of tyres here waiting to go on, won em so didnt cost anything. So to cut a long story longer, at some point I'm looking at selling her, do I: A: sell on a used set that are still fairly okay with a brand new set alongside thrown in the sale. B: put em on and use em so they are scrubbed in for the next owner C: forget about selling it as I got the best bike going lol
  25. Get a proper bike lol Only kidding no idea on both counts, if I took mine apart theres a very good chance Id never get them back on so I leave that to the spanner monkeys at the bike shop. Fiddle with it, tinker away til your happy, it might keep you quiet for a bit so thats a bonus I will travel up to keep you in coffee, console you when it all goes t@ts up etc
