  2. that did occur to me in a more sober state that only one side would get done, even at 3 am I wouldnt career round roundies the wrong way, oh well spose I better try harder on the corners and leave the dual carriageway in favour on a more scenic routes.
  3. we can swap bikes for a week if ya wont

  8. There is a good piece in april 2007 issue of Ride called big fix little box, its on about snatchy hrottle on a monster 600 but its the same thing. Ask me nicely I'll send it to you I have heard people have to change thier riding style / how much of a handful you grab with fuel injection, never had it as all the bikes Ive had use carbs but it is fairly common thing. power commander and dyno looking at 380 quid roughly so its up to you if its worth it.
  9. Point taken Ren, my chicken strips are about 3/4 of an inch so not taking it to the limit, I will spend the day going round roundabouts
  10. ...well my rear tyre is getting that way, just looking at the profile its squaring off. Now I'm a lazy / tight / daft git with me tyres. Only time Ive changed a tyre on a bike was when I saw I got it down to the carcass So anyway, my tyres are Avon Azzaro st's, gawd knows on mileage as they were on the bike already. Ive done around 2500 on em, still loads of tread, if you know these tyres they've got really deep tread so thats not a prob but it is squaring off. Is it handling worse? no not really, corners okay Ive got a set of tyres here waiting to go on, won em so didnt cost anything. So to cut a long story longer, at some point I'm looking at selling her, do I: A: sell on a used set that are still fairly okay with a brand new set alongside thrown in the sale. B: put em on and use em so they are scrubbed in for the next owner C: forget about selling it as I got the best bike going lol
  11. Get a proper bike lol Only kidding no idea on both counts, if I took mine apart theres a very good chance Id never get them back on so I leave that to the spanner monkeys at the bike shop. Fiddle with it, tinker away til your happy, it might keep you quiet for a bit so thats a bonus I will travel up to keep you in coffee, console you when it all goes t@ts up etc
  12. It was great meeting the racers, but did you watch the sidecars, you notice the frontrunner left the track on the last lap? the yellow and blue team? We were by the start finish line and they dissapeared! It was nuts, did they think they did enough laps? How embarrassing
  13. Had a great day out, cheers to Rennie for the invite, nice to meet pipeman in the toilet line up, dont ask me who won as Ive no idea. No 98 was great at wheeleeing in any gear which was great to watch, great mix of 125, 250, superbikes, sidecars, vintage etc class bikes so a good mix. Got to meet the riders and talk bikes, proper club racing at its best. The best weather you could hope for, no police (that I saw) and a great ride there and back so very happy and if you can, get yourself to one as everyone was REALLY nice. heres some piccies: http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/1a.jpg Thought Id take one as bozo here is crap at directions so my brother went to ask, thats not him by the way http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/2.jpg Our Rennie!!!!! sure he works for the RAC in his spare time as hes a really nice bloke http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/3.jpg Local race team to me, Darren pictured is one of my neighbours, had to go all the way there to say hello, ignorant git I am http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/4.jpg Waiting to go on. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/1.jpg Lots o bikes lots o bikers http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/P1010328.jpg No 98 was hilarious at lifting the front, somebody strap him on! http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/P1010255.jpg The classics, was some 50cc amongst them screaming along http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/5.jpg All bunched up at the hairpin on the first lap, wasn't sure why we watched from here... http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/P1010189.jpg ..ah, thats why.. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/P1010171.jpg and again http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/houdini_2006/Shogun/P1010142.jpg and again. BIKE MAGS

Know its not a monthly but my favourite is UBG used bike guide
  17. Yup nowhere near the roads Im takin then! Porthmadog, Dolgellau direction I'll be comin from so it would be a funny looking dog leg of a journey to meet for a ride. A week on Sunday correct? Will try and get it in my GPS (gormless positioning system) (memory)
  18. I will confirm now I will meet you there, look forward to it
  19. My Arai is my favourite (Nr 5 (?) Starflag) Wearing a Shoei XR1000 Rutter Rep as its the same colour as my bike Have a Suomy Gunwind thats roomy to fit my specs on, the Shoei is crap at that. Fitted a breath guard and whisper kit to the Shoei but I my Arai
  20. Try asking a local bike shop or there is Demon Tweeks in Wrexham. I rang them with a queery and they were really helpful. They rang the makers to check for me and rang me back. Bit of guessing: If the bars are the same width and a bit of patience I'd reckon you could get it to work. On another forum (cbr owners) there is a guy who fitted a ducati race seat section on to his cbr; I wouldn't have even tried. I wanted an adjustable clutch lever on my bike, bought a lever off a ZX6R, fitted straight in a treat. Do an ebay usa search typing in a cbr F3 (97-98) and look at all the goodies you can get.
  21. If it was a choice between ting tong and you petal, well its been nice knowing you...
  22. Slow car fast bike, no worries. It gets from A to B, Astra 1.7 TD as its as slow as anything but I'm alright jack as my bike accelerates me just fine. So old fart during the week and nutter at the weekend, sort of ying yang, ting tong, bing bong
  23. Sounds good, I am trying to master the Llanberis pass down to Betws. Really need to get more miles on the bike.
