  1. Back safe n sound, hell of a good day 8) 8) 8) Great dry weather all day, heavy snow on the ride home but we made it lol, improves my riding no end 8) 8) 8)
  2. Well was not a great turn out for a pondy meet lol, but the 4 of us had a good natter and sent our regards to all the rabble at the campsite. Hoping Phils got piccies of the snow, was a bit hairy going down the horseshoe mainly because inside and outside visor plus my glasses were misted up and covered in snow. Thankfully the fast bikers stayed at home cos me wobbling around at 40mph mustve been a sight lol. Looking forward to tomorrow now
  3. CRG and Pazzo levers are the two main names in roll a click span adjustable levers. Originally designed for race teams to conquer brake fade, as in the lever could be moved outward through the race to maintain braking effect. Now put on road bikes mainly for looks, they do however offer more span than an average lever does; they come in short or long lengths. Normally its just a case of removing your old levers and its a direct replacement, although a word of caution. My bike lol the z750s had three versions of a clutch lever and kawasaki and pazzo agreed they couldnt and wouldnt supply a version as most buy it to find they dont fit. A standard fix is that owners buy a zx6 / zx10 clutch perch, the brake is a standard kwak lever but its a pain in the bum lol. As far as I'm aware my bike for some reason is the only one that this has problems so its a good idea going to a retailer such as Hein Gericke so you can compare fitment prior to buying. Reckon on 130 quid for both levers so not cheap but most agree they look the dogs and really add a wow factor to your bike 8) 8) http://www.indysuperbikes.com/Images2/crg/crg.jpg Below is the folding version, designed to fold in a fall so they reduce the chances of the lever snapping http://images.sportrider.com/features/146_0708_11_z+crg_lever+progrip_vortex_clip_ons.jpg http://www.pureacceleration.com/images/Pazzo%20Levers.jpg

  10. Reffering to the idle rev adjuster yes? Might help: http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=157901 http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a81/WilliamYZF-R1/tickover.jpg All depends if it was running fine before and its just started to bugger about without you messing, if bought like that it may well be the idle screw been fiddled with.
  11. Spray in your airbox? The only thing I can think of is K&N's filter kit http://www.poweredbyford.com/store/images/manufacturers/kn/99-5000.JPG Im not sure if that'd sort it, hmmmmm. Think its a reference to air starvation, filter blocked kinda thing. Can you get to the airbox to check, check the air intakes for obstructions etc. You could try recharging your filter, depends on whats fitted. Sure I read somewhere try it without moving off without the filter in, see if that cures the prob, if so get a new one. This is not a definite though, better grease monkeys will be along soon. 8)

  13. Okay peeps, want to make this a sticky so you have to worry no longer on bike mods and what they are. Just saw a post asking what is a hugger, so Im here to answer your quieries lol A hugger is this: http://www.ermaxuk.co.uk/pictures/bikePart_446.jpg Designed to keep the crud off yer shock, why dont they sell bikes with them as stock is beyond me. An undertray is this: http://www.ermaxuk.co.uk/pictures/bikePart_444.jpg That section under the seat, makes it tidier and this one has built in indicators. A tail tidy is this: http://www.sounddistribution.co.uk/images/Rrsend.jpg Normally metal but also plastic to rid yourself of the great big lump of plastic that came as stock. Next week we discuss db screens and pazzo / crg levers 8)

  20. scotoiler mark 7 is say 60 - 70 quid, probably an hour at a bike ship so say 30 quid. They do come with really good instructions, think TC just fitted one himself.
  21. Go and speak to a training school as I think you'll find unless you are renewing your cbt you have to by law ride one of thier bikes. Any bike is worth something so you could sell yours and put it towards a bigger machine.
  22. bbcbloody 2 making me wait til the highlights unless its on another channel and Im missing it? Dont say eurosport!!
  23. A good yuasa battery for that shouldnt be too steep but as above its not the alternator, if it was your voltage wouldnt increae with revs. Is it left for long periods? If you can Id get an optimate, Ive got one on mine when not in use and it works a treat. 8)

    E-Bay advice

ach all depends on your computer or if you like running. Pdfs are great, even better if youve got a laptop that you can place by your bike (maybe get a clear keyboard cover thingy) or youve got 15 ink cartridges that need using. I like paper versions but yeah Ive got used to reading pdf manuals now, same offer as above, I can buy it and you buy buy us a pint in return if youve not got an account. If youve got a desktop pc upstairs at least it'll keep ya fit between pages lol
