can i just ask a question, this man says he was scared for his life, yet he didnt pull over and slow down, he didnt move away from the lorry at any point to avoid being hit, didnt stop, then followed the lorry? i smell a story of goading and baiting here. and that photo of the dent, i am sorry but i would be suprised if that was done through that incident, it looks more like a carpark dink. hardly major, where are the photos of the side of the car showing this 3k damage?

i do hope this is a joke. my sense of humour will be restored if it is.

Job vacancy - Motorcycle Lecturer, SW London
bex replied to BikerMooFromMars's topic in General Chat
A motorcycle lecturer will be someone like me, with a motorcycle engineering degree and a teaching degree who can teach in all aspects of motorcycles from maintenance to CAD and CFD, materials , manufacturing and many other aspects. shame they are not paying london wages. and i am already teaching. -
some people, who have Aspergers, will latch onto something they understand and become extremely good at it. it does tend to be something black and white, right or wrong, such as maths, science etc. i have had students with Aspergers and they are awesome in some classes and really bad in others, you have to find their passion and then let them run with it. this goes with the repetition thing that people labelled with autism do, because it helps them stay centered in a situation they are not happy, maths and counting is a good one but repetition is good for learning maths so this is why they become good at it.

the only advice i can give you is go to a car park and just ride about, weave, turn, go slow, go fast, get used to doing it, even on your 125 if you have too. then start to put it all together in sequence and play, have fun, it will come to you but you can not force this.

i do not know why they are not using both lanes, i do not know if the merc was intending on filtering into the right hand lane at some point. because i dont know i am not one to comment. What i can say is that i have been the person in the merc before, but it was to help someone how was helping the traffic keep moving with his van. he was keeping pace all the way to the end so that the filtering lane was steadily moving rather than people doing the mercs suposed intended trick. but when it came to getting back into line the first car that he had stopped from coming past blocked him from coming over, so i stopped to let him through. strangely enough the car blocking him then thought he would like to get around me as a punishment for stopping. WRONG! he failed and ended up about 6 cars back. At the end of the day, some people like to queue and others dont, i have a habit when turning left on the way to work of going down the right hand empty lane and all the way round the roundabout. people seem pissed off with me when i join the left lane again cos i 'pushed in' but no, i just used my brain cell. not my fault i understand how a roundabout works

have you thought that they were staying calm cos if cops ask for their video evidence they are in trouble too? tbh appalling riding in such an area but it was pretty nasty hit from that truck that didnt need to happen. have to say i giggled at the guy walking over "he ran a red light" hahaha no shit sherlock. i also thought the video was the biker running the red light at first.

Yes I know lots of cats who love drinking from a slow running tap. Phoebe will run up the stairs in front of you if there is even a hint that your heading to the bathroom.

If my man did that I'd just hire a sexy Gardner. If he is willing to pay someone to clean why would I . To be honest though, putting this on a forum is not the most ideal is it. Part of me thinks that it's a joke and the rest of methinks that your not right in airing your dirty laundry on a public forum. Obviously a lack of respect from you and possibly from her. Be an adult and talk to her and not us.

My cat Phoebe was ill at about the same age because she didn't drink enough. It dehydrated her, left her bunged up and this had a knock on effect to her eating and lowering her energy levels.. once we knew this we encouraged her to drink from a running tap. As a novelty and made sure she did this every day. All it took was hydration and a big poo. Hope your little one pulls through.

'thank you for pointing this out, watched it today, have to say it is an emotional piece of art.

makes you wonder what would have happened, and how often does it happen do you think?

one of them tubes is probably your breather so it only needs to be attached at the tank, the other one is probably fuel line. there should be a vacuum somewhere too, what it sounds like is someone has had the tank off and not put the pipes back properly, get yourself a manual and sort it yourself, it'll be a lot cheaper.

I would not recommend anything other than working to do the job properly. i dont care if you have seen it done this way or that way, asking people to give you answers is only going to get you questions asked as they, like me would rather have more information than you gave in your first post. if you are bodging the rest of the bike like you have suggested and are not bothered about the suspension as you commented. then why not just put a ring of silicon seal around it n clean it before you take it into the mot. jobs done then aint it n you can ride an unbalanced unsafe bike to your hearts content. oh n i know enough to say, do the bloody job properly ffs.

saw this earlier, daft bugger for causing the accident but mans got skills, or lots of luck that day.

i agree with wannars, take your time, we are not in a rush to hurt ourselves. your best bet is to find a quiet road and practice junctions. that way you will be unlikely to feel pressured into acting by other users. if you are turning right indicate and move to the right of the lane on approach, slow to 1st, stop, neutral, look, 1st, look again then pull away. if you are able to angle the bike to the right a little too as this will help when you pull away. for the left pretty much the same but move to the left of the lane. this also gives users an indication of where you want to go if they are not paying attention to your indicators.

you say your front tyre is about 2 years old and your rear is new? there could be an edge on your front as this 'turning in on slow speed' can be caused by the front too. if you have now got a lovely round back tyre then you are possibly dropping of the shoulder that has been created on the front. before you changed the rear you probably didnt notice it as the rear would have had the same worn in profile. have a look. some times its he small things that need checking before the big things lol
