  1. oh year i forgot to warn you about the price hike lmao if you go seacat its about hour n half, if you go ferry its about 4 hours.
  2. go to the steam packet ferries website n book. as for accomodation that will be trickier but if your willing to camp there are many sites and you would be able to go to sulby for free if i remember. as for the track it is open to all when not racing or practicing. the mountain is one way too so soooooo much fun if you go, have eyes up ya arse and ride within your limit, dont be goaded by others and come back safe
  3. you will be able to do it yourself if you are able to change chain n sprockets. just have a bit of confidence and dont start anything till you get all the bits ready. it is a bit messy but its not that hard. a tub for old oil and brute force lol
  4. there is a reason why things like screws are seemingly expensive. they are not just a bit of metal lol but yes bikes are writen off easily but also to save numpties who are not able to fix the bike safely from killing themselves on twisted bikes. imagine if you were able to fix everything and anything lol
  5. jam your right, if you change the chain without the sprockets the old curve on the tooth will damage the new chain so you should change both together, unless you change the chain well before its damaged
  6. sprocket bushes may need changing, or it could be your wheel bearings if its only just started its may not be enough to make thebike wobble yet. if you are thinking engine, before you go paying money for nothing get a mates help and while the engine is running get them to lean the bike. if its in the engine you would be able to hear it. if you cant then you can be happy that it isnt the engine

    Bent something?

or it just felt like that, i know on the few times that i had to let go of the bars i had to lean to the left. its hard to explain, but due to the profile of tyres and the angle of the road camber you do still feel like your leaning to the left, mind tripping i know but yeah, but as i also said, to put your mind at rest follow given instructions to check.

    Bent something?

you were going no handed and it was leaning to the left, erm.....thats cos of the road camber, 1mm pitted marks on your forks are most probably stone chips, you can take the advice to see if they are twisted but i would say its as simple as, put ya hands on the bars and ride properly lmao
  9. your best option is to go online and download a parts manual for your bike, then go looking for it and get the part number. then you will be able to find it easy its always handy having that manual available for future
  10. chick if your jacket has pockets for armour to be inserted and you would like some pm me, i have some as for cheap gear, its all well and good but i have learnt over the years to save up and get better more expensive stuff, you pay for the technology they use to test and improve. i will stand for double stitching, wouldnt consider single again, my little off burst the knee of the rst razor leathers. the bigger your bike gets the better your protection should get. the difference between textiles and leathers if protected are not much different. buying online is ok but check return policy before buying. try girlsbike2.com i have bought from them a few times. think my next purchase will be something to protect my lady bits. i have got to go clothes shopping again anyway to replace stuff but OMG my bits took a battering lol
  11. give me a shout for a ride out too, i am in swansea
  12. thankyou EVERYONE for another fanbloodytastic weekend, sooooo many laughs and fun, gonna miss you all
  13. are they the usual permanent caravans that have been there all along. god hope its not pikeys, thats just asking for trouble although i have learnt over the years pikeys do avoid groups of bikers for some reason lol
  14. can you not put the tent on top of the sleepingbag on the seat as that is safer, plus are you wider than your mirrors? if not filtering will be fine
  15. its been beautiful here in notts today fingers crossed it stays like it
  16. to be honest mate it not be any worse than my old bike (all those who know betty will be laughing now) and some of us have had problems, seem to remember Donnie having his bike in bits at one point last year. if there is always a way to take the piss, we will find it but as always there is no harm intended from us all
  17. You can treat me as well if you like Bex haha i am a skint student remember, it would be the only meal of the day for me
  18. what happened to the lovely mrs? sad you not be there mate you shall be missed
  19. cool, think i will treat myself this year its a steepish hill so all water would drain away pretty quickly, i dont think we will have much problem
  20. It was in the Code of Conduct that you had Rob! You must order and pay for breakfast the night before - breakfast will be served between 9 - 10am, but we have been informed that if you get there nearer to 10am you may be too late!!! but surely if you pay for it the night before and get there at 10 to 10 then you cant be to late? any idea how much it is?
  21. the ferry/seacat and bike is around £200 but as for the rest you can live as cheeply as you want. how much fuel depends on how much riding you want to do, how much food n beer depends on how much fuel you want to use lol and as for camping, sulby is usually free for two weeks camping so get there early you can have a cheep holiday
  22. not sure about another bike, you only have the ability to ride one at a time, maybe do half n half, put half away for rainy days/retirement and then put the rest to the bike or holiday, if your getting two payments then i am sure you could do this.
  23. get the baffles taken out, or drill holes like said, if you want to stick well n truelly by the book i would keep saving and get a decent can,
  24. one dropping out i am afraid i cant make it now
  25. free is always a bonus, and i would rather wear for a day and throw, i know its not cheap or env friendly but thats just me
