  1. I'm not mystic Meg but I can see a future post. " My bike lurched forward when I started it in gear and I fell off " 8-)

    Or..............

I was parked behind this Ferrari when my bike lurched forward...............

  2. if they hit you first, you can go to town on them in self defense anyway, just make sure theres someone there who can support your claim that they hit you first.

    Not strictly true.........

There is a thing called reasonable force

Someone hits you you have a right to defend yourself

Knocking someone to the ground then sticking the boot in is unreasonable and excessive force and you'll likely find yourself in court

Someone comes at you with a knife you can assume they mean you some serious harm so would breaking one of their limbs to stop them be deemed reasonable or unreasonable?

    8-)

  3. How does a member come on as hidden, just being nosey really.

when you logging in just tick the box that ask do you want to hide :booty:

Or you could set it so you are hidden every time you log in, but I aint saying how :P

  4. Using these at the moment

    Wearability

    They are comfy

I find they get dislodged easily if you don't push them in far enough and are a bugger to get out if you over do it

    Noise Reduction

Depends how much noise you expect or want an ear plug to cut out really

I immediately swapped the coloured inserts for the yellow ones as the green ones didn't cut enough sound out for me

The CB I have is a LOT quieter than the gixxer I had, so I'm not sure how they would have stood up to the gixxer

  5. Eventful journey home Sue. Ended up in Shrewsbury. Don't ask me how O_o

Chucked the missus off the bike AGAIN!!! in Kidderminster. :(

Some moron on the roundabout by MacDonalds changed his mind and didn't want the turning he was indicating to use and swung his wheels to continue on round. I grabbed a handful of brake and went to put my left foot down.

Trouble was it was straight onto a the biggest manhole cover in the world. The ones with the two triangular plates.

My foot slipped, off we tumbled and Karen bashed her ribs on the kerb.

We are now waiting to see if they are bruised or broken. Doc says if the pain eases over the next couple of days they are bruised, but if they are broke it will get a whole lot worse :(

  6. Checking in. Back home but not without incident :( This whole biking as a couple thing ain't off to the best of starts and is in the balance at the moment.

    Top weekend though

Was good to see you all

Thanks Sue and Ian for opening up your home to us

  7. I'll need your address/postcode

Can you pm me in facebook?

John, you have a message on FB :D

    Got it thanks Sue

I tend to write the route down on a scrap of paper and memorize it, using the scrap pf paper if I forgets on the way, but I think I'll bring the twat nav along just in case

We are planning on starting off early morning as its near on 4 hrs for us

Karens up the hospital at the minute waiting on the arrival of our latest grandchild

She's getting excited about coming along :thumb:

  8. Boots bought

Sat the moaning bitch missus down and made her try everything they had that fitted her, even the ones she she didn't like the look of :D

She settled on some waterproof Alpinestars SMX 5's 8-)

As soon as she put them on I got the look of approval

I needed some new boots as well as my old ones leaked like a seive

Not wanting to be outdone or do the tweedle dum and tweedle dee thing I tried a few of the others on making extra special effort to avoid the ones the missus chose

Ended up with the same though as I found them snug and very comfy

All kitted out now ready for the soash at Ian and Sues next weekend :thumb:

will be this time next year we get the pictures at the rate this weather is going then

    Think positive, Steve, POS....I....TIVE!!

  10. I am going to be buying some boots for the missus and I've noticed is recent years more and more ladies boots becoming available

On a practical level, fashion/styling aside, does it really matter?

Obviously women have smaller feets (in most cases O_o) so is it just about the length of the foot?
