Like I said, we would love to meet up with anyone who is going and their route meets or is close to ours :thumb:

  2. Never used main dealers

I've tried this in the past with my cars and always found them horrendously expensive so had no reason to suspect they are any different for bikes

I've tried a few places that only offer service and repairs services and ended up with a one man band for my bike (Marc Patterson)

I've ended up with Marc because he is the only one I've felt completely confident in and totally at ease when he has my bike (very rare to find someone like this) 8-)

The others I've tried were probably OK TBH, but for me if I get even slightly suspicious about them, that's it, I won't go back

When I move the search will be on for someone local as I don't fancy the one hour ride

I may even have to consider getting my tool kit up together and doing it myself, but its been a while since I've done any mechanics :|

  3. So I am looking at chopping my Gixxer in for a CB13

Need something a bit more sedate and the CB fits the bill

    Anyhoo

A couple of weeks back I lost my scorpion zorst and had to fit the standard cans....which is fine but I noticed the lambda Sensor is gone :(

I prefer to think it came off when the scorpion departed company with the bike but I am struggling with this as the thing was zip tied up out of the way, albeit underneath the bike. If this had happened the zip ties would still be there as they are stronger than the cabling they were holding in place (surely)

Mechanic knows nothing and the only other route for unauthorised removal would have been by the MOT station :?

All history, concerns and frustrations aside, I need it to secure a good deal on my part exchange so really need to get the sensor replaced

Ive been trolling the internet....ebay, bike parts places etc etc and all that comes up is a lambda eliminator which bypasses the need for the sensor but this comes with issues

Anyone got any ideas where I might get a reasonably priced sensor or a suitable alternative to Suzuki's genuine part which costs £220?

I wouldn't mind so much, but its a poxy sensor on the end of about 6inches of cable with a connector t'other end

    Anyway any help/advise is appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Jix

  4. I get this with my knee protectors I use under my bike jeans but only if I don't take them off when I am done riding

I am wondering if it would be possible to cut a hole in the back of a support without affecting the amount of support it gives too much?

Maybe if you make sure its only the area that pinches so you leave the front and sides and a small bit to the back?

  7. One that works is what we used in the Army on spec ops in places like Belize. Horse sperm works amazingly well.

    Step one,,,, Catch your horse

Step two,,, remove the lid from the jar

Step three,,, :booty: (get the idea) :D

Or you could check out the specialist videos available on the internet
