  3. Is the bottom fairing mount point OK, i.e not cracked? If so, Hellfrauds do resin you could patch it up with...

    :stupid:

I'd be checking the fairing mounts. I noticed some of them are pretty flimsy from my lads one when it was maliciously pushed over

  4. Thanks for the replies folks. The Abba stand is quite a lot more expensive than a paddock stand...but it looks like it should be easier to put the bike on without assistance?

    Absolutely

I have an adapter set for my Gixer and my Lads YZFR

One stand for two bikes :thumb:

  5. they are the locknut and screw type on those engine you need to remove top engine cover to get to them

and need to use feeler gauges to set correct gap between rocker and valve

Ok I may feel brave enough to give it a go next week :)

can you damage the thing running it badly adjusted ?

You run the risk of bending the valves if they are too far out

Not done any for a long time but I recall something about the cylinder needing to be top dead center (TDC)

  6. Right ppl

    Come rain or shine

I'm still bringing my bike on a braked 3 bike trailer, as the missus doesn't drive or do pillion, so there's room for two more if anyone hits a problem that's travelling my route.........there or back 8-)

Ill be setting off on Friday around 1430hrs (ish) once the missus has finished work and we have loaded up :)

    This is my route
