  2. I know mate, I will probably regret it tbh but lack of use and other interests are getting in the way. If it doesn't sell for what I want I'll keep it but if I can find someone who will cherish it like I have it's for the best I think. It gets lots of attention everywhere you go. It's like a muscle car to ride, big grin factor for sure but I'm enjoying sports bikes ATM and everyone I ride with is on sports and sports nakeds. It's hard too ride both and be able to switch back and forth, I'm now used to the slipper clutch and that can be a nightmare when back on the xjr forgetting it doesn't have one. The ninja stops on a dime, the xjr is 240kg so it's getting easy to forget what I'm riding. I've listed and removed it several times, we'll seen, definitely be sad if/when she goes.
  3. Selling my beloved xjr. It just doesn't get used and the money would be useful. Owes me well over 5k plus 30+ hrs of my own labour. Project started 2017 with a mint stock bike. Pictures and most receipts included. 36k these engines regular go well past 100k, air cooled so even less to go wrong... No head gaskets ect. Mot sep 1200cc Valves checked and adjusted. Swing arm bearings replaced Head bearings replaced Nearly new Bridgestone bt023 tyres. 5 Deg ingition advancer 36y rubbers ready to fit if you want more power. New battery Carbs cleaned and setup. Great bike, only selling as I have another sports bike. A clean xjr 1200-1300 of similar age is still 2-3000 atm. No silly offers. There's a few blemishes, easy fixes for someone to tinker with, couple paint chips in obscure places and a side panel could do with being replaced but all in all stunning bike that gets alot of attention. 07508265562.   4. Don't you have a service at 311 to change out the oil and minute filings from the running in process. Probably best to get that done before you throwing all them about at high rpm
  5. I have two, 2016 zx6r uncomfortable as hell but a scalpel to ride, great for a blast with the lads who mostly own newer high-end sports and super nakeds. I also have my xjr cafe racer, comfortable muscle bike, I like riding them both but on the other hand its waged war in my mind... I'm indecisive at the best of time so I'm constantly considering selling one or the other dependent on which side.of the bed I get out off. I don't commute much so they are just toys really but both have their purpose. So I'm getting at why not cafe racer the hornet, make it really special if you have the time and an angle grinder, and a drill!-) one of the best things you can do imo, really make it how you want and it's not even very expensive tbf. Learn stuff from YouTube, make a plan and take as long as you want. Fit USD forks, do your research and find out which front end fits ect ect.

  7. Probably just need to slow down, clutch in the corner with proper nice smooth action shouldn't be too much of a problem but harsh actions will unsettle the bike. In the rain be super smooth and knock it back to 5 outta 10, imagine your riding on gravel.... Imagine oil-fuel rising up in every bend and rounder bout. Before you get hurt. Try to be in the right gear before you tip it in, maybe easier said than done on a 125 if that's what your riding? Three crashes already is a bad sign, most have one early on and learn from it. Check mechanicals Do your tyres match? Are they in date and a modern spec? Are the pressures right and is the suspension good? Swing arm pivot smooth and free of play?
  8. You could easily do a 797 monster, the 74bhp would be perfect to get back into it imo.

  10. Yeah agreed, I preferred the 1200 rear tbh. I'm happy with where I'm at tho. Big 1300 front end with usd's and 2016 rear end with 2016 ohlines. Bulldog of a bike.
  11. They will do nearly 35mph if healthy. Very quick that close to the ground. Tbh way too fast for a 3yr old. I would suggest restricting the throttle to 5mph somehow. Clutch is not adjusted, maybe it's seized. Take it apart and grease the pivot points.

  13. Not really much of their design left on this one lol. But thanks, it's a muscle bike thing. Inc- Mainly the xjr, zrx and gsx1400 tbf. Cb1300 cheated a bit being water cooled, bandit didn't even have twin shocks. Dying breed now.

  17. From all the reviews I've read aprilias tuono seems to be the best naked you can buy by a long shot, the reliability of European bikes although ok would put me off a little. Personally I'd have an mt10 sp with all the fancy bits,what are they circa 14k? In the r1m colours, yes thanks. I ride with a guy on a 16 plate tuono factory and it's a very special bike thats for sure.... What about a superduke r? Very similar ratings to the mt10? Are you ok on other sports bikes? If you don't like the position on the BMW not sure any of the others are gonna be much better, I recently got a newer zx6r and although I love it would I swap it for an mt10? heck yeah, wrists are aching after 80miles.
  18. Most likely a break in the wire around the headstock where it's constantly bending.... Clean the switch plug out first with some contact cleaner tho

  20. You can tune a bike or car to run on super. Basically the higher the octane the more controllable the explosion is so you can advance the timing further without blowing your engine up. I've had modified cars in the past that had to be run on Tesco 99 as they were mapped on that, you will get more power if the tune is good. Normally tho the only difference is cost from what I can gather. Stuff like v-power and optimal have detergents to clean the fuel system and cylinders to some extent.
