  1. Lol guess Im just too nice I can see where you are coming from though.
  2. Why? I used to ride out on my old 125 with people on much more capable bikes than mine. They rode with me anyway though! And if my friends ever do CBTs and only have 125s I'll lead up the back for them too un til they get bigger bikes.
  3. So Im gonna be needing a ground anchor for the time being until the 125 is sold and i can squeeze mine into the utility room. It's going onto concrete needs to be something that can drill in neatly i guess? my fella also has a big bike so will probably attach his too. doesnt need to be pretty just practical.
  4. Which is THE toughest? Well done on the pass op!
  5. Wet is a bitch but in honesty Id rather ride in the rain than a dry day with high wind! Tyres are pretty decent these days and most riding schools only use bikes with ABS for MOD 1 to stop any avoidable/dangerous emergency stops. Also the test centre compounds are usually the best tarmac you'll find to ride on haha (qrippy and constantly treated). The only advice I have is that theres a lot of space between the examiner signalling you to brake and how far you have to brake. Dont panic and rush it. Front brake, back brake, clutch in and finally left foot down.
  6. Even all the fails... I never ever was given a riding fault. They had to pass me eventually hahah
  7. Nice!!! What a relief - well done for not giving up im a stubborn cow. Im pretty sure i said a lot "I give up.... after my next go" hahaha
  8. This. This is basically all you do for 35-40 mins on your MOD 2, and the rest of your biking life! Always assume that the people in front/behind/side roads are out to end you. Anyway I try to shave speed off in the car and on the bike by breaking before the bend. Braking is an automatic thing tbh but i think i usually use the back break if just shaving a little off and reserve the front break for twistier upcoming bends where i need to drop a gear or so as well. You'll know the sort, the bends that have warning signs beforehand. Believe the signs. Even on less bendy bends i also at least ease off the throttle slightly just in case something is going on up front I couldnt see! its all in the anticipation!
  9. I almost fell off doing some MOD 1 practice (turned the bike when it was only doing like 2mph lol)... but i actually came off just before xmas! Bike slid on mud while coming to a stop, not really sure what happened but i know the panic part of my brain took over and I grabbed a fistfull of front! I suppose all the weight came to the front of the bike and dislodged me from the seat, then i mustve not reacted enough to put feet down in time and over it went. Fortunately I cam out with nothing but a bruise on my thigh. So not a bad off! Ive been lucky so far.
  10. I've given you a view. I'd say just play with those audio settings a bit - music was a bit loud over the voice curious to see what you upload in future though!

  17. *Cue Eminem song* Sorry I was gone for so long, after a few MOD fails I wasnt feeling the bike scene so just needed some time to get my head down and find the love again, then attempt the MOD 2! Normal posting can resume once more! Especially once I have a new bike!
  18. Nailed it this time. clean sheet
  19. I'm back! I passed So I went into the MOD 2 feeling negative after some bad luck causing a fail with no minors. Was also a bit rusty on a 650 as hadnt ridden a lot since. My tests are done at Lincoln which aren't known for having a high pass rate but they have invested in more motorbike examiners, meaning more tests available and more passes! I had the same examiner as before who had been a little cold previously but a lot more welcoming today, more chatty before and after the test. Off we went, first 15 mins felt good. Got up to a junction where a road was closed, the examiner didnt expect it, asked me to turn left instead of right though, even though i was set up to go right.... he prompted me saying ' you'll be ok to turn right from there' so at that point I thought I'd f**ked it. Next 20 mins flew by, i was using it as practice for the next one assuming failure. Parked up, he saw me looking a bit dejected and he simply said "head inside so I can write out your certificate" ... I looked over and he's giving me the thumbs up! Got in there, CLEAN SHEET! I asked about the road closure and he said 'that was on me not you' basically. and there you have it!
  20. Oh! no we have a handful of trashy decorations for the tree - that random pegasus is one of them!
  21. And the my little pony belongs too ....? Where? The thing on the tree?

  23. My brother bought me this interesting piece for my helmet... http://i66.tinypic.com/2lnk66e.jpg
  24. Merry Christmas all!
  25. That was certainly part of the problem other than poor handling of the issue. The bike did feel a little less 'grippy' than normal anyway, so was easing off a little more than i would normally (but not enough to be considered 'failing to progress'). After the incident the examiner apparently commented (i was leaving at that point so didnt hear this) that the tread looked a bit worn on the tyres!
