  1. Definitely a scam, the next email you get will say they've sent the money but can you pay the freight company using western distribution...
  2. Should always be a sign somewhere for single yellow, if there isn't then park as you like, as you can easily get any ticket overturned if there's inadequate signs.
  3. I think so as I don't believe there were any significant changes until 95
  4. Brute force and (mostly) ignorance usually works on even the most stubborn filter, just try and avoid mangling the thread on your bike.
  5. Signed and shared on fb Outrageous behaviour, can't believe it ever stood up in court!
  6. As with most things, you do get what you pay for, but there is a limit where it becomes spending money for the sake of it (for a brand) Had a couple of really cheap ones (less than £10) and I generally found the clips broke if it got too windy as the clips were cheap and flimsy. Also some of them weren't actually waterproof even though they were advertised as being waterproof Though there's no guarantee the more expensive ones will have a better clip or be any more waterproof, but I think if you have the cheapest of the cheap you can't complain its poor quality. Overall there isn't a massive difference and anything is generally better than nothing.
  7. It shouldn't be about beating southerners, its an act of remembrance.
  8. Depending on the dates I'll be there! Even if its just for the day
  9. I always go to my local ceremony so wont be attending but I hope its a good, safe ride for all who do attend. I've shared the website on my fb page and asked Martin Dickinson (organiser of RTTW) if it can be posted in his fb group.
  10. Weather forecast for tomorrow is looking good!! Met office says virtually no chance of rain and a chance of sun!! http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weat ... 1380927600
  11. Been to all but the very first RTTW, it's the best ride I've been on, Dave it's got a lot bigger since the first couple, you should go again! Can't wait for Saturday!
  12. I have a 2004 FZ6 and have the same problem, WD40 hasn't really helped either. Would be interesting to know if you solve the problem
  13. I'm restoring a GSX600F (1995/FN) I'll have a look at my loom at the weekend, its laying around the garage somewhere!!
  14. I would highly recommend the CTEK charging system, if you shop around you can get them for as little as £35, though some places charge over £100! It is capable of reviving batteries with very low charge and will maintain charge on a battery so you can leave it plugged in indefinitely. A very good product, just make sure you get the correct voltage and ampage charger for your bike.
  15. Just registered my team! Not 100% sure on the riders, they may change yet
  16. Sorry but you gave me a good laugh at you filling up with diesel! Glad that wasn't actually the case and sounds like you've fixed it
  17. Just skimmed through this thread and I would be checking your float and butterfly mechanisms. Very odd how it has stopped so suddenly...

  22. Not been on this in ages and I've slipped right down to 10th! Just been on and made some changes that should set things back to rights hopefully
  23. The only possible damage it may cause is to blow the regulator/rectifier and alternator. If the battery is dead, the bike will be constantly trying to charge it which can cause the reg/rec to overheat and blow and it's quite an expensive repair bill. If I were you, I'd try charging the battery on a 12v charger that has a trickle charge. If you don't have one, I'd recommend you look at getting a ctek charging system, as it can revive sulphated batteries and can be left attached indefinitely and help to maintain the battery. If after charging the battery it looses it's charge again I would replace it, for the sake of £40 (typical cost) I would say it's highly worth it
  24. A bit confused here, I can't see cat and fiddle on the main list of locations to be visited, but it's in the google maps link and people are tagging it, can someone confirm which is right?
  25. the met office is currently predicting a 40-60% chance of rain for most of friday, hopefully it will have all rained out by then though!!! Also, I'm sure it's already been posted somewhere, but what's the deal with ordering breakfast?
