  3. Sounds like a plan to me nman1 Decor58 + a maybe
  4. Fleeces??? Are you mad or have you just not been outside all week? Will be out the back of the visitors centre on the grass bank, see you all tomorrow
  5. Really looking forward to this weekend, it's been great every year I've been. Are we going to meet on that hill bit where we seem to have ended up each time for the last two years? Will be going to the M1 North near leics from loughborough if anyone wants to meet up before then
  6. Are you making sure to put the side stand up? There are safety devises so that you cannot start the engine while the bike is in gear, the side stand is down and the clutch is out. So if the sensor on the clutch isn't detecting it's in and the side stand is down it will prevent the bike from starting.
  7. Me & girlfriend, will be going to get her some leathers and hopefully meeting up with Rebel Rach
  8. To say I've not payed much attention to the GP over the last two months and I wasn't happy with my team prior to that I'm doing pretty well When is the next transfer window? Could do with making a change or two.

    TANK PAD!!

If you're putting anther one on it shouldn't matter if a bit of laquer come off as the new one will cover it
  10. If it doesn't already have acid in it then it will probably need charging. However if you buy one with acid already in it shouldn't require charging. When I required one I phoned up the garage and they put the acid in and fully charged it for me ready for when I got there.
  11. They will still try and repair it as it's often cheaper than recovery, if it's been stood for that long the battery probably has gone flat but should still be able to jump or kick start it unless it's 100% flat. However once it's running the flat battery shouldn't be affecting the ride, so next thing to check is fuel, it can deteriorate and become contaminated over time. Another thing to check could be the pipes/tubes, if it's been to a garage check they've all been connected up properly.
  12. Don't know of any members from Sheffield I'm afraid, sure there is some but non of the regular posters. Looks like a call to the RAC could be a good idea
  13. Afraid I'm going to have to drop out of this one finances aren't brilliant and I've an exam in first week of sept which is extremely important
  14. I'll happily give it a go when I get around to it, though may just take you up on that offer if I get fed up with it getting the bolt out.
  15. I've cleaned them out completely to the best of my ability twice since I've had it, I'll admit to start with I didn't look after them great but the rate they deteriorate is shocking and getting the pistons in is nigh on impossible.
  16. I think the bandit uses the same breaks as my gsx600f so I know your pain! Them callipers really are crap, they're the one thing on the bike which I don't like. I've rounded a screw off on both fluid reservoir, the front one I managed to get out with a hammer and flat screwdriver, the rear one I said sod it about bought a new reservoir. I've also sheared off a bolt on the rear calliper which attaches it to the bike which I've yet to sort. Can anyone suggest a decent substitute calliper from another bike?
  17. I'll see, I'm meant to be keeping bike usage down until friday when I get a new tyre fitted, will decide on the day, what time are you going?
  18. Alex the inflatable bit is where the poles usually go, not on the bottom, so risk of punctures should be very low. That said, if you did get one while packing away you're screwed, at least if a pole snaps you can gaffer it. I'm also not convinced about how rigid they would be in the wind. Will reserve judgement on quality until I've actually seen one, though at that price I don't think I'll be seeing to many any time soon. Vango do make good tents though so would expect good things from them.
  19. TC GARETHNW YORBANDIT + MUZ REVS Decor58 Boothy Devans mojobanana (tentative - tent-ative, geddit?! I'll get me coat...) Yoshi (dependant on me being bothered to get out of bed!) 20. Ok so I've used suggestions from TC and BMF's best rides to work out a route, the first half is a bit boring though second half should be brilliant. If anyone has a suggestion for an alternative or would like us to make a slight detour to meet up just post a message. Link to google maps route
  21. BBQ beats pie and peas, monday it is!
  22. What time is good to get there? I'll be going to the Angle Inn about 1800-1830 but could then carry onto MFN depending on what time people normally go. Then again, could just go to MFN Just been looking on their website, would you not rather go on tuesday? It's pasty and peas & bikers night
  23. That's the plan Martin, I'm intending on taking all the back roads up there and having some fun if you and Rach want come with? Bought a map with some of the top roads highlighted on it so want to make a route that uses as many as possible, will post the route up once I've decided on it.
  24. Would quite like to visit hartside cafe, I went by there when I did a coast to coast bicycle ride for charity.
