1. Just been out to measure it while it's on the side stand and it reads the same as when it was on the centre stand, the only thing i could find online was to make sure the chain is not too tight or loose
2. Thanks @JRH, had a look but no mention of it in user manual, will do some digging around online and see what i can find
3. It's not halloween yet so let the dead rest in peace
4. Thanks Gerontious , mine is between 20-30 mm and when i measured it on the centre stand it was around 28mm so i guess that when the wheel is on the ground it would be around 23/24mm so should be nicely between the tolerence, thinking about it i could use a mitre square to measure it keeping the ruler bit tight against the swingarm
5. When checking chain tension do you do it with the wheel on or off the ground, just checked mine and with the wheel off the ground it is just within tolerence by a couple of mm's, the bike naturally falls on the front wheel leaving the rear floating when on the centre stand, but checking while on the sidestand is awkward and i can't get a true result, any advice appreciated
6. When i move Xena between the front and back of the house i wear trainers and i am just about on the balls of my feet, wearing my boots i can just about balance on tip toes with both feet down
7. Had a little pootle about this early evening went as far as Thorne then came back through Hatfield, photos taken from a layby between Thorne and Hatfield

Mechanical help !

That would work as long as the iridium crystals in the warp core haven't been contaminated, any contamination will change the frequency of the crystals and as the level of contamination cannot be measured for each crystal in the core, there is a good chance that the core will have multiple frequencies therefore synchronising would be impossible I thought warp cores used dilithium (Li6) crystals rather than iridium. Quite correct got mixed up a bit as i was experimenting with a new alloy using iridium
9. Don't be such a dumbass f@ckwit, pay the money for proper training and do it right, or get off the fekking road

11. One thing to bear in mind is the footage from his own camera, if he had a serious accident his own actions would see him liable and would have no excuse for a claim against anyone

Sounds like the engine has blown
13. It should tell you in the handbook what is involved, but usually inspect everything and change/replace everything that needs to be done, the list can vary between manufacturers
14. Joeman have a good one and ride safe if you're out and about
15. Don't want to put a dampner on it, but the bike will never feel the same, it will ride and handle differently, personally i would let it go and move on, if anything serious happend to Xena as much as i love riding her she would never be the same
16. Totally agree, and as it's new you will look after it because the first time you drop it after riding like a XXXXwit, will teach you a lesson only learnt from experience but most of all you will get some piece of mind of not worrying about mot's and as long as you keep up with service schedule it will still have a good resale value
17. Definately claim for injury, teach the stupid prick to be more vigilant and don't drive like a nob, screw the twat for every penny you can get
18. Personally i think a properly fitting helmet is more important than relying on some kind of half assed rating guide
19. So sorry to hear, it really pi$$es me off people cutting corners when turning, post up some pics and see what the general concensus is regarding the damage, keep your chin up as this wasn't your fault
20. Alarm is a really good idea, the problem is when I had one I was plagued by false alarms in windy conditions. Now this may sound naff but it actually works a treat, I bought a personal attack alarm pictured below for £4 of fleabay, I have a piece of monofilament line one end attached via a small clip to the bike the other to the alarm, alarm is hidden discretely nearby, someone moves the bike and it pulls the pin sending out 143Db siren, you can be as poetic as room permits when it comes to hiding the siren, I don't get any false alarms and because the monofilament is so thin it can't be seen unless you really look hard, especially at night when the majority of thieving scum go about their business.s-l1600.jpg The one i have talks and warns you the bike as an alarm then bleeps a few times, if it is moved again within a few seconds the alarm goes off and by heck it makes a racket 120db's worth
21. I would also fit an alarm, one thing about thieves is they don't like being noticed, so any noise that can bring unwanted attention in their direction has to be a good deterrent
22. if it's not too loose you could see if a balaclava would help with fit
23. I would go with a cover as well as chains and disc locks as above, if they can't see what bike it is i would think less likely to try and tamper, but then again curiosity is human nature and might attract more attention in people trying to peek under the cover like some upskirting perv
