So I passed my MOD2 on Friday with 2 minors! I ordered my new MT07 on Saturday with the Carbon Akra Exhaust so should be collecting that next week. Now I've been watching a lot of videos with the above setup and I can't work out if I should collect it with the baffle in or out? It sounds incredible with it out but wanted some opinions.

I really can't decide on them, and what suits me best or what is considered the better purchase. The MT is cheaper, but insurance is £200 more expensive, had great low down power but lacks up top compared the CB. The CB is relatively new, but the MT is a tried and tested and considered one of the greatest middleweights you can get. I just keep on going in circles.

Woohoo! Passed my MOD1 today with a perfect pass which is great news, rode an XJ6 on a 60 mile round trip. The power was nuts and all I could think about is how the hell do you hang onto anything faster. My biggest tip I could give to anyone is do it in your own time, and only think about each exercise at a time, I was shitting myself about the swerve but managed to forget about it til it was actually time for it. FOCUS and breath. MOD2 next week!!!

Glad to hear that everything went well to get your bike back on the road. Thats probably a one in a thousand result in regards to how she handled it.

Tbh, I really wouldn't mind this as the AMGs sound beautiful.

I'd absolutely love to commute to work, but as Westbeef mentioned, I can't imagine it being particularly pleasant in minus godknowswhat mornings. I think I'm travel time would drop from an hour to 35 minutes. Plus aren't you paranoid about ice and what not?

Well done! Fair weather rider here too though a few times this years it's been sunny but a bit chilli so I've used my exhaust to warm my hands too. Might consider heated grips for such days - they're not expensive. First thing I added to my bike was heated grips as I ride pretty much all year unless it's REALLY bad (ice and high wind, maybe snow but that comes under ice.... Ill ride in heavy rain if desperate or been caught out by it but Id rather wuss out and take the car lol) I bought/got into this as a hobby/toy/learning something new so I'll try and avoid the rubbish weather as much as possible. I for some strange reason really do want to go out when its pissing down as seems like it could be quite relaxing (I'm sure its not)

I thought it was excellent, so excellent I watched it again the next day. I agree with replacement of the stones Fozzie, that would of been an INCREDIBLE credit scene or even its own movie. I also think it was the best possible send off for Tony/Iron Man, role is competely Huge Jackmaned and no one will ever take that up again IMO.

So I survived 28 miles there and 28 back! I've decided I'm a warm weather rider, it was 3-4c when I left and I actually had to pull over to warm my hands up on the engine It was foggy as well so I nearly took the car.

Thanks for all the responces guys! I've downloaded a motorbike sat nav thingy, it'll keep me from long, fast, straight roads. I'll let you all know how I got on! I'm off to have a couple of hours on a big bike before I go for the MOD1 and 2 at the end of May.

Will do! I realised I had most of the stuff except a tyre pressure gauge so I'll be picking one up at sports bike shop tomorrow.

Hi all, I've got a 30 mile ride tomorrow and just feel a little bit nervous about it as I have to be there at 8AM. I can drive but I really want to take the bike but it'll be my first ride in the early nasty crazy school mum and dad prime time and just wanted to know if there are tips you guys might have? I've already planned my routes so I'll be pretty much off all the A roads and just some nice twisty B roads.

So how does green laning work? Any laws behind doing it?

I might head up to this on my own so if anyone is heading from the Aylesbury/Milton Keynes way and wants a ride up, I'm game.

Don't be that jealous, I've got too pay for it yet Thanks tho matey, I know sports bikes arnt everyones cup of tea and it can paint a certain picture of you... That's why I still got my xjr. She is lovely tho, they are quite rare down this way and I've not seen this colour before. Its funny, for me bikes so far have been like watches, you think you know what you want before you get one, but when its crunch time and you're buying one you find out what you really like. I always thought I'd love a sports bike and I probably will at some point, but it came to buying one, non faired bikes are 100% my thing. I'll upgrade to a CB650R when the time is right Enjoy the bike, shes a beauty.
