  1. I completely agree. Probably cancel this week
  2. I’ve got similar with a car. So I ordered a new car in December 2024 and expecting to have it with the new registration in March. I haven’t got the car. Latest I’ve heard fro garage is car was damaged in transit and the import centre are waiting for a new wheel. Very inclined to cancel
  3. Yeah. Ridiculously overpriced thing. But it’s light and if it just works then will be ok https://seamarknunn.com/products/epropulsion-elite-xs-lightweight-electric-outboard-motor
  4. I was a bit of a nob today. But I had to laugh at myself. So I bought this electric outboard motor. Looks great actually! And without reading the manual I plugged the charger in. And ES appeared on the display. I thought that has got to be an error code. So I looked at the back for errors. And couldn’t see anything about ES. And then it changed. And then I realised I had been looking at the display upside down! And it was 53% charged. Now 54% charged! Actually now fully charged. Itching to try it on my inflatable tender
  5. Except the product is now unavailable! Maybe someone clocked the wrong price! Seriously though. That’s great if they are genuine!
  6. I appreciate others point of view on this. I guess Ashley posts these videos to make people think. I completely get that he was technically correct. The silver car definitely wasn’t in front. Nor was it alongside. But it was extremely close and she wasn’t backing off. I still think that instead of insisting on my priority, that I would have backed off myself and let the silver car pass. That is assuming that the silver car showed no indication of allowing a reasonable space. It is interesting that I seem to be completely alone in my opinion on this. That probably implies that I am wrong lol. It was drummed in to me almost 50 years ago now, when I learnt to drive, to always drive defensively. And that’s what I believe I’m describing here as to how I would react.
  7. I’ve watched this video quite a few times now. Just watched it again lol … I do agree that he is technically correct. However the way I operate is to not automatically expect other drivers to do the right thing … so what would I have done? I would have been very conscious of the silver car being very close and not looking as if it would back off. I would have given a couple of flashes of right hand indicator. And if the silver car didn’t back off then I would have slowed. Let it past and settled behind the silver car.
  8. Yeah 1.15 I think … I can see that. Still very close to the silver car. I tend to drive a lot more defensively … as I said in first post I may be wrong.
  9. I would be interested in what others on here might think of this video online. I’ve watched a few of this guys videos before. I’ve always agreed with his point of view. On this one not so much. I do get it that he is an Advanced Driving Instructor I believe. So should know what he is doing. All the comments on YouTube agree with him. Maybe he is right? Quite possibly. If you can be bothered then I would be interested in what others think. I know the folk on this forum are sensible and able motorists. In the clip he is positioned in a central lane which merges with the outside lane. I’m saying that he pulled over in an entitled way without indicating and no clear space to move into. Be interested what others think. I’m not condoning the other motorists reaction by the way.
  10. Yes. But this is actually advertised as a box of ten. The reviews aren’t great. Personally I wouldn’t put one in my bike. But obviously I hope I’m wrong and Chris has a bargain
  11. I might be inclined to post one to NGK UK and ask them to confirm if it is genuine? If you can be bothered of course
  12. That sounds too good to me. There are fake NGK spark plugs around apparently. If you do a google search there is info online about how to spot the fakes.
  13. If it flies or floats then it is cheaper to rent! … that is the abridged version of this saying for reasons of decency!
  14. I would definitely live on the boat again and travel around. That is the plan really. There are some amazing places to explore on the West of Scotland. … I wouldn’t do it full time again though. Not having an address can cause issues with registering for health services, banking etc. It did destroy my credit rating for a few years. And that was why I bought property again in honesty. Stu asked how I get ashore? This is the setup for getting ashore.
  15. I have been on a mooring previously. So I am aware of the drawbacks. … it was in Essex. Which definitely is muddy and the anchors sunk into the mud. You might be right GOG that it won’t be quite as muddy here. Not sure. … I actually lived on my boat full time for a few years and only went into marinas occasionally to charge the batteries etc. I just anchored in various places and had a dinghy to get ashore. And a folding bike.
  16. Yeah you have to do any of those things
  17. Here’s a pic of my boat. Keeps me paying those bills lol… sorry to Stu. I know you don’t like sailing posts
  18. Yeah. I do love the boat. But since Covid for some reason prices have gone stratospheric. I’m not looking forward to having to go out to my boat on a dinghy. But if I’m honest the option is to get rid of the boat. I don’t really want to do that either
  19. Absolutely. It is approaching £5k annually where I’m currently berthed. And difficult to justify
  20. Well I joined a local boat club. And they use a mooring contractor. And the mooring company sent me a pic of the mooring before they dropped it. Interesting actually. You can see the two train wheels. I think they will sink into the mud. … if you wonder how much that cost it was £1600. Which I thought was ok actually
  21. So I currently keep my boat in a marina. And it is very convenient. But the costs are increasing and becoming difficult to justify. To myself. I don’t have anyone else to answer to. And since actually moving to Scotland I thought it would be good to have the boat nearer my property. So anyway I have had a mooring laid this week. Two train wheels and lots of chain. And a buoy. Quite excited to move the boat to it … yeah I get that not many folks are interested in boats stuff. Sorry about that!
  22. Really feel for you. Stay strong. I’ve had my share of difficulties in life. Things do change
  23. I wish I still had my Fizzie actually. Long gone I’m afraid. Unless anyone knows otherwise. Reg number PUP 93M. … if I still had it then it would be restored an in a cabinet inside my house. … I sold it for £50 around 1979
  24. I kind of agree with everyone. But I look back fondly to the 1970s when I had a Fizzie. Everyone had them. Didn’t they? Usually with the baffles removed. I thought I was very cool because I had replaced the pedal type pedals with proper foot pegs. Probably illegal. Who knows? … and my L Plates. Well honestly it was just a little bit of an L stuck to the shock absorber … in truth I do feel sorry for the youth of today regimented up to their eyeballs
  25. Love my V STROM 650. I’m probably biased though. The gearbox isn’t sloppy.
