  1. I think that is great, if you like the idea of a bike enough that advice is it swaying you then that is the bike for you!
  2. I think it is a very sensible way to have the death penalty and make sure no one dies through a miscarriage of justice. It fits with Bender’s desire for someone else to set the threshold. 10 years is not that long. It was not that long ago we had experts determining that psychological and physics symptoms could only be caused by sexual abuse and that not be true. Medics particularly love to believe that they know beyond doubt something that may then turn out to not be true.
  3. You are copying my idea but I said 100 years.
  4. Didn’t Farage go for German?
  5. Yes definitely
  6. @bender those giving examples of reasons why they think it is a bad idea are not the only ones going around and around. You have done the equivalent of stick your fingers in your ears and gone ‘blah blah blah I’M NOT LISTENING’ .
  7. I know my bike does not like running on idle unless it is thoroughly warm and does not like warming up at low revs. Mine is thirty years old and has an owner that knows little
  8. I am not one of the mechanically sound people. I have all the mechanical skills of a sea anemone. my bike would sound like that unless it was getting the chance to run fully, to warm up enough for the choke (or in my case enricher) to not be needed for smooth running. Is the choke on whilst it’s smoking? Wouldn’t that make it a bit Smokey? Have you got anyone can drive it around for twenty minutes?
  9. Yes but the person awaiting their death penalty will have died. Each sentence can only be carried out 100 years after it is applied as punishment.
  10. I’ll set the bar. We allow death penalty in any case of sexual violence and murder. The bar is that 100 years needs to pass to enable the advancement of science and opportunity for scrutiny of evidence in the light of new learning before it can be enacted.
  11. The point remains that people are that confident about innocent people and there is no coming back from killed.
  12. I recently came into conflict with a court report expert type person’s report. It was utter bilge and in my view inappropriate but also deftly accepted as valid evidence in court.
  13. I can offer only my limited experience. I spent months prior to Mundas looking on eBay within my price bracket and nothing stood out for me. Then there was a zzr600 (30 year old) with 16 k on the clock within my range. It was 35 miles away. I spoke to the vendor and said if I bought it would he deliver, I figured if he would ride it to mine it was likely safe. I went to look at it, liked it and risked it (no DAS Pass at that point), Insured it the day I passed and loved it since, it was written off for economy reasons when some daft person drove into me. @fastbob helped me mend it and I have done a load of miles on it since, mostly commuting. I still peer out of my work window to look at it, still turn my head as I walk away and have been known to visits it during the day. I adore my bike. If I didn’t bikes hold their value enough that if you get one and don’t like it you can try another. That said I think some people are looked for a unicorn bike and are not prepared to accept little foibles for otherwise perfect.
  14. Definitely buy a bike that excites you, if it turns out to be a bad idea at least you have owned your ideal bike! my two Penney’s would be “can you afford a London bike and the R6. The R6 for weekends and fun and one less likely to be nicked and more comfortable for the commute? Best of both worlds. I imagine a 125 is fine for London commuting? When I was only commuting in and around Brum my 125 was fine. Only when I started to rack up miles on National Speed roads did it make sense to increase to my now loved zzr600. Which I never fail to recommend. You should get one.
  15. And other members here describe being falsely accused of violent sexual crimes by vindictive ex partners and that this is not true. I would trust a death penalty if I was the arbiter of it, not if there is a chance any of you or any of the current government and parts of the judiciary are responsible for it.
  16. I thought I read people suggesting it.
  17. Ah By Milk and Beans so less than two hours from south Brum. I would be up for a bimble there at an arranged time if the time suits
  18. Fair cop guv’nor although it was the car that was my weapon of choice those days.
  19. Where is this super sausage of which you speak? I might be up for a butty and a hello in person.
  20. I would have an electric bike for my commute. I would even consider a scooter if powerful enough. This is not powerful enough and is about the equivalent of a fifty CC isn’t it?
  21. Fab! I thought about a deuville when I bought my zzr. I hope you enjoy it plenty of space for kit for trips too!
  22. I have tried a couple of drill pumps and found them terrible with Water.
  23. I’m desperate to get back to climbing regularly, I adore climbing. Caving I get it with the big spaces underground but the thought of squeezes and sumps reminds me that geological time is likely to speed up dramatically when I am near meaning that the I would become trapped.
  24. Might even be a bit low given storage space, wages, website costs etc.
