  1. Fixed bike yesterday even and also had my new helmet delivered. It has. Bluetooth speaker and microphone looking forwards to trying it out
  2. I’m sure a drinking and dancing establishment I attended in the past was called that you know!
  3. Yes, checked all the voltages again and all sorted. No battery cooking going on
  4. I’ll take comments about wind ups from most people on the site Six but you saying it is like the pot calling the kettle grimy arse. The vehicles are used differently and for different reasons. I don’t intend to try to explain.
  5. I have loved and wanted a land rover since I was 11 as well.
  6. As long as the sea we did happened we will have the disco it’s horses for course. The bike and the family car are used for different things. 360 a year for Tax. Hope I get that payrise along with the promotion I just earned
  7. They’re not that attractive Six, nice people but I wouldn’t want to f**k em. all this stuff said and I am off to look and a discovery to replace the Corolla.
  8. We do a lot of that stuff most of the time. Not always because we’re human and sometimes life is harder than at others I do also just like new engineering and like the idea of the bikes. I might test one. plus starting up outside the house would annoy less neighbours if no noise. I leave for work at 05:45 when I go in.
  9. Thanks Bonio I looked into the imbued carbon thing a while ago. It was always said that buying a new eco car was not as good as keeping an old car running. currently we have a 17 year old Corolla we keep going. I read an exploration of this that disputed it pretty strongly and suggested that the difference was n debt was nullified within only a couple of years. That was comparing ICE I think. I’m just musing for now, I already do a variety of bits and bobs to shit on the earth a bit less this would be something else but I can’t really afford it right now.
  10. It’s an easy poke isn’t it, if you are not totally saving the planet no f**king point. I think it is less bad to go EV. Can someone demonstrate other than with rhetoric that it is not less bad? Thanks
  11. I want to shit less than I do that is all
  12. I am happy for someone to show me that ICE is better. The distances I commute are not practical on a pushbike otherwise I would do it
  13. I use my bike 99% of the time for commuting. I love having my bike and it makes my commute better but I also think it would be good to shit on the planet a bit less.
  14. The Harley without the Harley badge looks cheaper than the zero Sr/s at about fifteen grand. ideally I want to buy one of these second hand at about five to eight thousand (with imaginary money because I cannot quite afford that at te moment.
  15. Thanks Stu. Is it the case when I fit a new one that if the voltage is in the good ranges I’m all sorted? I know how to change it when it gets here. thanks for you help as always
  16. Hi gang. what are the options for electric motorbikes at the moment? Realistic ones. the Zero sr/s (I think it is that), the faired one has enough range on it for my commutes. what are the competitors? I prefer the idea of a faired bike but doesn’t have to be. I don’t think I can buy one now but starting to think about it.
  17. Bit of Googling suggests I need a new Reg Rec.
  18. Seems to be revs dependent. When Erving at idle ish getting 13.8-14.2 ish
  19. 12.9 with wires connected nothing on (new battery) 12.7 with ignition on no engine climbing rapidly with engine on I turned engine of at 15.6v because I thought that was probably too high?
  20. Will do. Will come back with measurements once new battery is on.
  21. Thanks Stu. I will go get a battery
  22. I assumed it would need a bump because the battery was showing it was Charged as soon as charger went on.
