  1. I tend towards buying the best second hand thing I can on EBay. Has worked for past couple of jackets.
  2. I commuted south Birmingham to Rugby on a 125. I enjoyed it. Horses for courses. Bigger bikes are definite better but I valued the 18 months I spent on my 125.
  3. Sorry to hear this happened. Appalling behaviour
  4. Hi whatbis your budget? Do you want to get everything needed or just a good symbolic start that shows your support for his endeavours? I looked at the tool list in the back of the Haynes Manual and got a load of that for christmases. does he already have some tools? I really like my Halfords pro socket set, my Allen keys (although if buying again I would get the T-shaped ones, reasonable set of screw drivers. Set of pliers, mole grips, snips. Also a multi-meter.
  5. I adore my bike. I would have a zero in a heartbeat if I could afford one. If I could keep both that would be perfect. I almost entirely use my bike for commuting. 25 miles each way. I’d use the electric for my commute.
  6. It would but you know, public sector homeopathy doesn’t pay brilliantly
  7. Oh how we laughed you got called out on unnecessary homophobic commentary. It got deleted, move on. go for a ride, enjoy yourself without it being at someone’s expense. It’s much nicer if ever there is a meet up I’ll buy you a beer
  8. Nice, not done the Sloth. I did Valkyrie and enjoyed it. There was an HVS I down climbed half of.
  9. By the Roaches? They did a nice mixed grill in there a few years ago and the Staffordshire oat cakes in the cafe round the corner was lovely too. Did you climb their? At the Roaches?
  10. Unless that missed lifesaver meant that someone had to swerve or brake to avoid collision or was a part of a major fault.
  11. I gave the rental one too much right hand at a round abs out and came off, it was deceptively quick. Did not feel it and then suddenly it was
  12. Fantastic!!!! Does it have the storage but where tanks used to be on older bikes?
  13. Have you got it?!?! it is wonderful?
  14. Get the manual for the model as well start, nothing better than starting.
  15. Cool! Nice looking bike. I’d worry the exhaust would burn my thigh or unmentionables.
  16. I’d have a zero for that and a second hand X Tesla. Sorted! And I would kee my zzr600
  17. @gymwitch regarding the comment of mine you spotted on another thread I went from my 100bhp (ish, probably lost a few because old) sports tourer Zzr600 to the NC, this was only 6 weeks into owning it and I adored it so my thoughts about the NC were always going to be affected by all of that. I was grumpy about being on an insurance bike because someone had driven into my beautiful ZZR600. I am not a fan of naked and little screens, 65+ miles an hour feels windy to me. I think if I had had the NC as my first big bike I would have loved it. A lot. if I had to choose between another zzr and a NC now I would probably go zzr but might not. I’m not allowed to go fast any more Too many points. I hope you love it and if not you can always swap like lots do.
