1. Fantastic HDSoph one step closer to getting out on your bike
2. Space is big, you think it is a long way down the road to the chemist, that’s just peanuts to space.
3. Hmm I think the ladybug doth protest too much
4. There seem to be a lot of you that want to be ‘bummed’ by a gay cabbie. I would have thought the appropriate App was all you would need? Rather than stickers on cars.
5. I’m inspired. As soon as I have finished dealing with my insurance crap I shall sell the 125 and go and pick up my CD175 from my father in law, take it apart and probably fail to do any more but have intent at least.
6. Alas I really struggle for spare time also. My current plan is to suck it up, ride and drive (feel bad in the car too) very consciously and hope I get over myself.
7. Update. I binned the hire bike on a roundabout on Friday. I thought I had broken my foot but just bruised. Totally my fault, not used to the bike and how it gives the power and over cooked coming into a roundabout trying to fit in a gap. I feel/felt embarrassed. I took the hire bike out yesterday to tackle nerves. Feel like a muppet and to top it off I feel a bit anxious even when not on the bike. I re-did the roundabout yesterday. I think it might be a while before I can enjoy this biking lark again.
8. Looks like a red poppy with an orange background to the image to me.
9. I had 13 years driving experience with more than a quarter of million safe unaccidented miles and 15 months on a geared 125 with nearly six thousand miles. I needed my 3 days training to pass my test. I am not answerring the question you are asking but I am offering unsolicited advice; Take the hit and pay for the instruction to make it legal. There is a big differnece between a 125 and a bigger bike, the Mod 1 test is not a piece of P155 and requires practice at the right distance between the cones etc etc. It is a lot to stump up but then repeat test etc are a lot to stump up. Also if I was an examiner and you turned up on your own bike without an instructor (and they seem to know the instructors) I would question whether you had gotten there legally.
10. Took the NC750S to work this morning. I might pretend I am a journalist and that it is with me to review. I felt sick almost all the way to work. Whereas I have enjoyed every (literally every even in epic rain) moment on bikes until now this morning I did not. I just felt a bit unsafe and nervous. I got the job done and I know I need to plough through this but it has annoyed me that what was a joyous part of everyday currently is not. Just venting at you, thanks for listening.
11. Thanks for the advice. Drift seems likely. Is the x a bit waterproof? Alright in rain but not water or not at all waterproof?
12. Hello TMBF, after my experience the other day of being driven into I have decided to get a helmet camera to have access to evidence. What should I buy? I have done a little bit of looking and the drift xl looks good but expensive. Any advice? Thank you.
13. on my lexmoto (yeah I know) it was just an oil change at 300 miles and an inspection and tightening of anything that had loosened in first use.
14. Happy Birthday Joeman
15. Thanks for the advice. Insurance are sorting it. I expect them to write the bike off and am wondering about buying it back and mending or having it mended. I really love the bike.
16. Might ask for some info/hand on mending my bike if I get it back.
17. Been looking on Fleabay and I can get a full forks set with (are they called?) yokes? For a hundred pounds. If it is just the front end is a difficult thing to swap the forky bits?
18. One of the most upsetting things for me was I had kind of assumed that at some point I might have an off. I thought that when it happened I would have some part in it, not fault but could have avoided by assuming the person would Mia-behave or SMIDSY. In this case alertness would have achieved nothing. I was stopped at a junction
19. Sorry for the delay in getting back everyone and thanks for kindness. busy at work even after my crash. My claims handler has been on the phone, because it is third party at fault they are going to send me an nc750s until the decision is made about my bike etc and it is paid. They agree probably a write off but may want to repair it myself. just on the phone organising them collecting my bike and taking it away to be assessed. i did get some soreness arrive once the panic had gone, i it persists i will think about claim but if only a bike of discomfort for a couple of days i won't. fastbob i will drop you a line in a pm later. you've offered your support a couple of times and I appreciate it. Regarding what I was wearing. All black motorcycle clothes but with a hi-vis green/yellow vest and my helmet is bright green/yellow. I don't think th drive can have looked to be honest but of course may argue SMIDSY despite looking. I have never had to do this sort of thing. The claims handler is confident in telling me that they are going to get the other insurer to pay for everything including the hire of the stand in bike. He said it would be likely 6 weeks until I am having to accept or argue the replacement value of the bike and then if I accept I can either keep the bike but give them some money (£300 ish) or take all the money an d leave them with the bike. The thing about the injury claim, I do not want to do anything unreasonable and certainly not anything fraudulent. Is it worth claiming for just aches and pains?
