1. That is a trek I might check out the M45. Although I struggled to keep my speed in double digits in the M5
2. I’m in work tomorrow and then I’m riding from Coventry to Colchester
3. I did 130 miles today. Commute to Coventry, then trip from there to Gloucester to see my sister and back to Brum. Thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Just go home.
4. I rode in this morning can’t see me stopping to be honest.
5. Father Christmas enjoys his time with Mistress Dominique, he is a subordinate clause
6. It’s not as bulky as it seems. What do you ride normally? I can filter pretty comfortably now. Took me a few weeks to get used to it. I don’t have a lot to compare it to, I’ve ridden 125, a cb600f and an NC750. NC750s was probably slightly more nimble. The bike has length to it. Swapping from between two lines of traffics across one to a different gap between two lanes is not the easiest but not problematic if I have to. As for mileage I get between 11 and 12 miles to the litre. The lights for fuel start to flash after about 10 litres but the tank size is supposed to be 18 litres so although the lights come on at 120 miles ish theoretically I could go another 60. I haven’t braved carrying on after the lights flash for that far yet. Maybe next time they do I will look in the tank. I ride reasonably calmly. I do pull away from the line/lights etc but I really don’t push it so I am quite economical. If I really want to have fun I get less obviously. When I want to have fun it is ace and does pull. Feel free to ask more, I could talk about my bike all day. There are bound to be negatives. There must be.
7. I have a 1990 zzr600. I love it. It’s comfy, can be quick if I want. I bought mine with 16000 miles on the clock. I commute roughly 300 miles a week at the moment along motorway, urban A roads and more town like bits. I enjoy it all. Any specific questions?
8. Fear of losing my license because the ‘go’ control is so effective. People in cars trying to kill me. The ten minutes to get my kit in before I head out. People in care trying to kill me.
9. I pee sitting down in the hopes my boy does the same to save cleaning later
10. She said after she wants to do everything that I do, when she grows up
11. Yup all working. Over the past week I have been using the centre stand and had no issue. On the two occasions I used the side stand (failed to get on centre stand) the issue repeated.
12. My five year old daughter and I changed the side stand switch. I adjusted the brake leaver (I got the spelling right fastbob ) This may not seem like much of a victory to many but I lack confidence mechanically so felt brave doing it. I took a cover thing off so I could see the front sprocket thing. Undid the electrical connector and swapped out the switch put it all back together. Tried to start the bike and clunk followed by not started. Starter motor turns but clunk and nothing. Cue panic and think I have broken my working bike. Back into garage took cover off again, got my daughter to start the bike whilst I watched ( she thought that was ace) could see nothing wrong. Put it all back together after checking that none of the wires were damaged and she works. A successful mechaniccing job done!
13. Are you still using a battery? Sorry wrong running joke.
14. Thanks i often get that wrong and spell check colludes!
15. Where about would it be? I Could be tempted to a night ride
16. Whilst I agree as a purchaser or seller Gerontious my experience with insurance recently disagrees. They have a guide which tells them the value and we’re reluctant to budge despite real world evidence to the contrary.
17. Or box his ears so they are less effective this neutralising the problem.
18. A few weeks ago there was a cue of traffic from the a435 all the way to the A46 on the m40/42. It carried on on the A46 to the A45 and then until near rugby. 25 miles of queues. I filtered the whole way through. Must have passed thousands of cars. It was ace.
