TOO MUCH OBSERVATION IS NO GOOD
spunky1976 replied to alol74's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
i was taught that lifesavers are for changing direction, speed (accelerating or braking) changing lanes basically anything where this could potentially save your life. Did lifesavers when turning right at junctions or roundabouts at first then got told they weren't necessary immediate danger coming from left or right and not behind. turning left different cos of cyclists and other idiots going round you etc for mini roundabouts if you don't indicate where you intend to exit it will be misleading to other motorists. can't have been that bad instructions as only got 2 minors and they were for the turn in the road, this was before the new tests came in though -

MOD1 being Discontinued
spunky1976 replied to turnerj_2001's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
from what i've heard mod 1 is only seperate because of the conversion of kph to mph meaning that the speed required is 32mph and hence illegal to be performed on our 30mph roads, could be a load of shite like but its what i was told before the new test came in -
thanks i'll go dig the multimeter out later on tonight or tomorrow and test it
-
my head light goes dim then bright(normal) when indicators are on same with neutral light too. i' thinking it could just be the battery it looks really old and i have no receipts for it in any of the documents i got with bike 2 years ago, but there is this little niggling thought that it may be the rectifier

DO NOT put copper slip anywhere near the pads even on the back of them!! Buy some brake/chain cleaner Wurth make a good one it cleans and evaporates leaving brakes free of dust and grease etc. If you get any copper slip on your discs you'll wish you went for the cheaper option of the cleaner and it wont hurt!! copper slip on the back of the pads will be fine, haynes manuals say use it most garages use it too. if you get it on the disk or the friction side of the pads then its a different story.
