    tatty seat

ok so my thundercat is now 13yrs old and done 60000miles still going great but the seat has a couple of tears in it which at the minute are patched up with gaffer tape. Not massive tears but if it sits in the rain the foam underneath is soaked and as its under a cover at home in winter its damn cold on your cheeks Is it possible to get it recovered or am i better off sourcing one from a well known auction site?????

May have to go check it out one monday if the wife will give me a pass to get out

    God dam it

it seems to be a grey area i can't find a definitive answer one way or the other as to whether it is law or not. I don't believe this guy is dodgy that i've used, mainly because he is extremely busy and i originally went for the tyre to be replaced, which would have put more cash in his pocket than the £30 he charged to repair it. I mean would you risk someone having an accident on your tyre repair for that, when you could have had £90 plus the cost of fitting in your pocket instead? to me the dodgy place wouldn't have looked at it and would have just chucked a new tyre on and taken the money.

garage that did the repair is former racer, tyre is about shagged now anyway due to be replaced in couple of weeks. mine is z rated but newer ones would have w or another letter as z ratings have been being fazed out apparently also this is mcn's viewhttp://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/Products/productsresults/Tyres/2009/July/jul0109-british-standarsd-for-puncture-repairs/?&R=EPI-116288

    Water Leak

my guess (and it is a guess) would be just condensation
  16. i used this the other week its two different washes one for wash then another for the reproof. did mine on the quick wash that our machine does about half an hour. end result is my kit is all waterproofed up again and tested in recent rain we've had

  19. after a lot of searching through ebay and google i'm now leaning towards the pirelli diablo's, got a guy to ring too who i went to before for a repair and completely forgot about why do we always need these things when something else has gone wrong and you've used the money on something else
  20. i know mate luckily the bridgestone and conti are apprently similar enough not to cause too much bother, for finance sake i might chuck the rear on then get front at later date, garage said it wouldn't be much of an issue but best to change it sooner rather than later
  21. hi guys passed mot today with advisories on the tyres which i was expecting anyway question is which tyres do i go for any one have any reccomendations price is an issue mind. i'm currently looking at michellin pilot roads, conti road attacks, pirelli diablo and bridgestone bt 021's. advisories are for rear being close to legal limit and front having cracks between treads in places i'm also tempted to just change the rear to start with in which case i'll go with conti's cos the front is a conti already and rear is bridgestone from previous owner
