  1. Took Rex for her M.O.T this morning. Pleased to report all good and a nice ride on quiet roads. Cheers Ian
  2. Its a shame but we had to do it lol! Cheers Ian
  3. Now that is the one that gets my goat ! Never ride as close or aggressively as the prat described by the op ! but people that wash their windscreens when I am following are twats and a horn blast and a swift overtake with middle finger salute is the most restrained reaction I can ever muster ! I will confess that back in the 80`s when despatching in London if it happened I used to contribute to the wing mirror industry ! Cheers Ian
  4. Your collective responses are exactly what I expected ! In general we are law abiding people fed up with what the scum in society are getting away with and we are policed by an organisation that has had it`s resources cut to the bone and ridiculous targets set by central government which means the road users are treated like a cash cow! Please don't get me started on the AA who used to warn their members of upcoming speed traps and now make money running speed awareness courses ! Cnuts! Cheers and rant over ! Ian
  5. Some interesting ideas Max. A few obvious flaws such as every crash helmet requiring registration number, ownership not necessarily same as entitlement to ride. I am sure the big brother argument will be along soon and someone will point out you need cops out on the road to see the offenders in the first place. Overall I am not sure what the answer is but looking forward to hearing what some people think. Cheers Ian
  6. Tart !
  7. Thanks for that I will read it later! Cheers for sharing. Cheers Ian

I took to top speed events and really love them ! Drag racing was great but as we age reaction times become an issue lol. I want the 200 then look for some other form of lunacy ! Off topic how are you feeling now you are home? Best wishes. Cheers Ian
  10. My experience of Gecko plates was not so good . Mine burned out on the ER5 when I made a mess of climbing a series of hairpin bends called the Devil's Staircase in Wales . To be fair , I didn't measure the steel plates or check the stack height. Hi Bob We haven`t been introduced so Hello I am pleased to meet you ! Your post interests me, are you doing hill climbs? I have no experience of this kind of racing and it is something I would like to learn about. Happy to start a new thread rather than hijack. Cheers Ian
  11. Good tip that , I've done it loads of times . If you stick a 1" thick plank under the back tyre it greatly increases the lean angle . After all , you wouldn't want to drop oil on the lounge carpet ! .........What ? There speaks a man who has bought a new lounge carpet because SWMBO came home before he hid the stains lol. Trust me I sympathise lol. Cheers Ian

I think it needs a better rider Ian so maybe I should be at the helm Feel free to sell your wife, children and all you love. It will come up short ! However once I get the 200 I will probably sell her and go back to tiddler racing or something equally silly. Cant retire till they nail the lid down!!!! Cheers Ian

Finally found a couple of pics of the racing Busa which will hopefully run again and get me that 200mph ticket in the new year. Hope you like? Cheers Ian
  14. Just a quicky QBoii if you havent already started to dismantle things it is worth seeing if you can remove the clutch cover with the bike on the sidestand without dropping the oil. Its a small saving but one that's worth trying. Take a small sample of oil and magnet check plus visual for condition. I found out a long time ago when racing one of the Busas that this worked and as I was changing friction plates and measuring stack thickness more than once per meeting it helped. Also plus one for the Gecko plates from wemoto and Yam steel for flatness. Cheers Ian
  15. Shareholders in Yamaha seen jumping from tall buildings lol. Cheers Ian
  16. Despite it being my doorstep and the roads I always ride on I have never been! When we are doing top speed runs or the world wheelie records weekend please pop over its a great craic and more nutters than you can shake a stick at! I want my 200mph sorted this year as a few years back I managed 199.9 and that is just not good enough. Had a few years out for financial and family reasons but I want it sorted this year. Thread hijack over ! Sorry lol. Cheers Ian
  17. Hope Elvington is on the list so we can all play later ! Cheers Ian
  18. My only worry is people might think he is like us ! I can upset people on my own I don't need his help. Cheers Ian
  19. No Gee ! Tough crowd lol ! Cheers Ian
  20. Hi There May I request number 256? Cheers Ian
  21. Blatantly ripped from another forum I am in. (Also a bit early) I was out on the ZRX today and was pleased to see so many other bikes out enjoying the relatively warm weather. So if you were the blue BMW heading North between the A14 and Corby approx. midday Hi from the Green noisy thing going the other way. Likewise the 3 small cruiser types on the A6 between Higham Ferrers and Finedon, and the lovely looking BSA ( may be wrong make) just by Rushden and Diamonds car boot sale. Last but not least silver Honda hornet between Pavenham and Oakley about 2.30pm. Who did you see? Cheers Ian
  22. You will find this is the pet dryer and price wise the same for the features given .. You will get the lower wattage (less blow for your buck) and non heated versions cheaper and that's about it Thanks for the info. I obviously didn't read the details when I saw it. Cheers Ian
  23. Hi I believe something similar is available for drying pets and is a lot cheaper. I shall try and find details if anyone is interested? Cheers Ian
  24. Cheers for that! I think we should let people know when organisations do well as they are the ones we should support. Especially if they are home grown. These days it is so easy to buy with a click without noticing you have just given trade to some far east company. Not patriotic as such but I like my money to stay with good traders preferably employing locally. Cheer Ian

    Wemoto

Credit where credit is due. Sunday noticed battery on Hayabusa was very sluggish and as its probably original and she is vey low mileage 2005 I thought I would bite the bullet and replace. Checked various places online and Wemoto as reasonable as anyone else for Motobatt and as I have used them before ordered online. Yesterday (Monday) morning email saying order being processed low and behold delivered 0900 this morning. Brilliant I thought especially at this time of year. Any dry weather over the break and I will fit and go for a play. Cheers Ian
