I must confess Harriet the Harris has now been sold but she only saw bright sunny days while I had her! The wheels were that colour when I got her but the paint to match was my idea and I liked it. Still have Rexy (bought new in 2004 and a keeper) also a 2005 Gen 1 Hayabusa with some tweaks which is great fun ! Cheers Ian

Hi If the switch turns out to be goosed have a careful look at how many keys etc are on your keyring. I have seen a lot of bike and car ignition switches wrecked by keyrings with spare keys house keys and all sorts of other crap bouncing about! If you need to replace switch please check out Wemoto before visiting a main stealer ! Cheers Ian

Honda cg125 engine noise
Ian Frog replied to Otreed's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
May I ask if you do know the reason it was parked up and left? My worry is the previous owner had engine issues so left it to one side. As was said before have you opened her up and had a look? Hope you get it sorted. Cheers Ian -
Hi Manxie I cant take all the credit ! The Rex was bought new in 2004 and is a keeper, the Busa found her way in to the stable 6 months ago and is a credit to her previous owner. I got the Busa to stop me riding my race Busa on the road lol (Supercharged and 282bhp)

Well Rexy is obvious I am afraid ! The Busa hasn't actually got a name (mind you I never named my Harris either). Cheers Ian

One of the finest road racers of all tome (Joey Dunlop) never used the rear brake. After all if you are braking on a two wheeler in anything other then a straight line things could get interesting. On my ZRX bought new in 2004 I still have the original rear pads and in my 2003 Busa I have never looked at the rear pads. I am aware of all the 75% 25% arguments but prior planning matters more. Cheers Ian

You may like to note that one of the finest road racers of all time Joey Dunlop never used the rear brake at all. After all if you are braking on a bike in anything other than a straight line things are going to get "interesting". My ZRX bought new in 2004 still has original rear pads and my 2003 Busa I have never looked at the rear pads. I know all the 75% 25% arguments but 40 years and never being off two wheels I am happy with Joey`s choice. Cheers Ian
