    Hard luck lass!

Did you get it sorted or is it now a task for during the week?

    Cheers

    Ian

Hopefully tyres arrive on 10th. Might aswel do both as the tyres that are on arent the greatest. Might aswel bob brake pads on the front too while tyre is off. Always something to be done on the bikes !!!

If you can do the figure of 8 ok you’re already doing two uturns with no problems so maybe try doing increasingly tighter figure of eights.
When I did mod 1 I got myself some surveyors spray paint (same as road marking paint except it eventually wears off) and drew 4 lines on the ground in a yard with two of those line being a metre closer together than they would be in a test. At first the inside lines seemed impossible but within half an hour or so of practising they were easy. It boosts your confidence if you know you can easily make the turn in a smaller space than required.
I also marked dots to represent the cones and I’d do the uturn and the slalom n figure of eight on my way out or back for a ride. Got to the point where I thought about painting more on for a full blown obstacle course 😆
No-one minded the markings because they knew it was temporary and I ended up having to remark them for someone else who saw me in the yard having a go and decided he wanted to do his test too. I think we provided some entertainment cos they were always happy to see me, plenty of waves n smiles and laughs.. shit they were laughing AT me 😂

Hahaha im sure they werent!!! I have had a practice at an industrial estate but could do with finding a better area.

Try this, it might help. If you're doing a u turn to the right shift your ass all the way to the left side of the seat. If you're doing a u turn to the left shift your ass all the way to the right. It'll keep your body more upright and let you turn the bars further without feeling like the bike is going to drop. And always look ahead in the direction you want to go.

Ohhhh i will try that thanks !!!

I think the key to Mod 1 is staying calm. And just think... if someone offered you the opportunity to play safely with a large bike on a test pad you'd jump at the chance.

In comparison, Mod 2 is just a nice ride-out with another bike. Good luck, you're nearly there.

Thats true. I get to use an mt07 for both bits and it is a lovely bike !!! Its just the bloody u turn...its got in my head that i cant do it in the tiny space...i know its not a tiny space 🤣

  5. I like the fairings.... its like my barbies horse having different outfits when i was a wee lass. Barbie got kicked to the curb like....

If i were wealthy, my cbr400 would have a different set of fairings for each of the seasons....... *sighs*

Anyhoo ive sent in an application for a job and when i get it (been studying manifesting tekkers) i will be able to afford more bikes...i mean accessories for the bikes i already have :D

    Consider getting one of these..

Wheel it into it ..Bike remains relatively upright without any input from yourself.( You can always strap forks/ bars to the chock if you wish for extra reassuring ( i use these in Vans when transporting and strap down to them )

See image for my additions (ignore object in my hand)

This allows you to use paddock stand easily .

And again to remove paddock stand you can confidently remove stand as chock keeps bike upright and then you just reverse bike out of the chock

I happily place and trust my 350kg bike in these

    Thats fab :) Thanks !!!!

Front or rear? My usual thing is to put a block of wood under the side stand so the bike is almost vertical. Then standing at the rear get the stand into position, hold the back of the bike firmly and lever the stand up with my foot. It's much easier with two people of course.

Sorry i hadnt replied to this sooner. Life is busy atm....its the rear. Yes that sounds like a plan standing it up straight. Cant see me doing it with a bigger bike though. 125 i may have a chance with. Thanks 🙂
