Starting to see similarities
Particularly numbers 1-5,
Bennetts: best-touring-motorcycles
Although having said that £35 for panniers is a good price. Just watch they will chafe on the paintwork.
They also match in with the bike and will look good.
Having a touring bike with panniers the amount of time they spend carrying things is very low most of the time they are helmet stores at the shops.
However when they are used for purposes they are needed. Looks like you have best of both worlds.
The plan is when we do go away we will be using the panniers so it wont be often. I also carry quite a bit of gym gear around from time to time and shop from day to day. They are well away from any paint work too as they are on the pannier racks.
Yes i could have got a bike probably more suited for the job but this one felt a good fit and was convenient to buy along with Andys Tracer from the same place. We got quite a bit knocked off for buying 2 bikes. I did sit on the nc750x but found it too tall, having said that once i get used to this one id probably be fine with a taller bike.

Put a phone mount on it. Andy made me an accessory bar for it but its actually better on the handlebars. Dont know what make it is but its a bit shit in that you have to squeeze it together around the phone then tighten it. Thats fine if you have the grip of a freak but ive knackered both my thumbs from years of abuse. Ive a good dose of arthritis in both thumb joints. I used to be a self employed pond and aquarium cleaner so my hands were always in water. I had to stop as the pain became so bad i could hardly drive my beloved Golf with its fat tyres and no steering assistance i loved that car Anyhoo ill stick a pic on later so you can avoid that ph mount
***update*** ph holder works but i would only trust it with the rubber doohickey on it. Went over Snake Pass and Woodhead pass and it needs to be higher so i can see the twisties before i get to them. Going to put it on the bar Andy made. Im really struggling getting up those steep uphill hair pin cambered bends !!! I always end up on the other side of the road. Terrifying !!! If i know ones coming i send andy up to let me know if its clear not ideal. I hate not being able to just do this stuff. Some people make it look so easy !!!

I think I have fixed it, didn't have a big enough diameter heatshrink so an alternative needed to be found, and believe it or not I used the neck of a balloon and the glue from a puncture repair kit. I have it all back together in the casing ready to be fitted back on the bike, I will do that in the morning and get it filled back up with fluids and take it for a test ride
Good luck

Cheers Stu
I will do something.
We are moving to an Airbnb in Stratford in the morning.
As it is on the canal and near pubs I will take more pics and update when we get back if you want?
Cheers
Ian

No spares currently available for Xena, so for the time being I will keep my rides short and only for important duties.
I did however replace the innertubes on my bicycle and washed it in the shower you gotta love having a wet room
So at least if Xena is out of commission I still have some transport, trust this to happen since selling Bridget
Thats poo

Looks like a "soft" link - much better than a split link on anything more powerful than a moped.
So theres nothing missing??

Next come up to the A95 in Scotland.
Won't get any better than that and you're unfortunate if you find more than 10 cars
Ohh thats a definite to do. We are building up to it. Just while you are on here....is this right??? I had a split link on other bike but this looks like its missing or is this sort the one you need a special tool for? .....
